Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had our main meal for the day here. Travelling from Gold Coast to Coffs Harbour. Order and pay at the counter and get a buzzer. We ordered garlic bread & a lemon and pepper calamari for entree and then I ordered grilled Salmon with slaw and husband had beer sausages, mash and vegies. When the buzzer went off I went to pick up and all 4 dishes were there. I said your joking - entree and main meal out at the same time. Please keep the mains warm while we eat our entree. Food was good apart from the sausages - husband said they were very spicey. Parking is very hard at times as it is on the highway but we managed to park outside. Did not stay here so can't answer any questions re accn.

Travelling through around lunch time.
Lunch special was Rump Steak, Salad and Chips.
Steak (good size) cooked perfectly as ordered, small, well thought out salad with a great honey mustard dressing. That many chips I could not get through them.
And, all for fourteen dollars.....
Pleasant staff, good ambience.
Would return.

Was driving from Newcastle to brisbane and saw this place was busy on the way down so stopped in on the way back and glad I did. The steak special on a Monday night was way better than some steaks I have paid $50 for in other areas. No gristle or fat, cooked to perfection, mushroom sauce was the bomb and the salad was fresh. Big meal! Great looking over the river at sunset as well. I’ll make this my rest stop from now on.

We were staying at the Rod n Reel Hotel for the night after travelling for 8 hours. It made sense to eat at the Bistro right beside where we were staying. The menu was ideal for us - not too fancy and you understood what each dish meant. Steak was the special of the day on Thursday for $20 and the salad served with it was excellent. I had coconut prawns which were beautiful. Prices were good and the serving was very generous. We were able to sit in front of the big TV and watch our footy team play while we ate dinner. I topped it off with Sticky date that was obviously home made because it was one of the best desserts I have ever had. All in all most enjoyable and if we stay again it would definitely be our choice for dinner. The lovely part about this place was that we sat and chatted to one of the lovely bistro staff (from the night before) the next morning while we ate our breakfast in their beer garden (as the Hotel was not yet open). We had a great chat - which made us feel very welcome.

Stopped at Woodburn for late lunch - decided on the pub. I had the pumpkin and macadamia salad - absolutely delicious. Hubby had the nachos - nice bite with very generous topping.
Service was good, toilets clean lovely view over the water.
Would stop there again.

I was absolutely flabberhasted, speechless and aghast that it took them nearly an hour to make up my salad. For a roadside retailer on a federal highway this is far from satisfactory. Never again will i darken their foors unless i have hours to kill

Glad to stop in and get some rest while on a long drive. It was quite decent, but the prices were simply exorbitant

Didn't plan to stay but the staff were friendly and the meal was huge - typical of country pubs! Yes, stay there and eat for a new experience.

Top place to stop on the way to Queensland. Terrific crumbed king prawns, chicken and pesto pasta was lovely and the $10 roast pork great value. The weather was hot but the hotel was refreshing and had a great view of the river.
