There were about 12 of us who decided to get together, have lunch, and catch up on current events. We had a private room, fast service, and delicious lunch. We had large salads that looked fresh, taco salads, and large plates of roast beef, mashed potatos, and bread. Yummmm!

This place has the worst salads on the planet. Skip them. Anything deep-fried, topped with gravy, crispy, buttery -- go for that. The chicken strips are divine. Dip them in mashed potatoes and gravy. The rolls. Holy Cow. Mmmm. The pie -- not a bad choice to be found. The waitress will be concerned with your well-being. She will notice... More

Stopped in after a visit to the Lone Jack Civil War Museum. Had a great burger and fries. This place was hopping with customers for lunch.

The ultimate omelette was $7.79 and was a very generous serving size. It had ham, bacon, sausage, cheese, onion and green peppers in it and I didn't have to stop for lunch because it was so filling.

Stopped here for lunch, ended up having breakfast. Breakfast served all day and biscuits and gravy too good to pass up. Ordered half order which was three big biscuits. Side of bacon and hash browns. So much food! Should have split the hash browns and bacon. Very good flavor and good gravy. Bacon crisp and cooked how I like. Small... More

Restaurant split in two sides, one side is smoking. Service was swift and friendly. Portions large. Gravy good. Burgers and fries did not appear homemade but frozen then cooked. Tenderloin not hand breaded which was a shame. Homecooking it was not.

Were visiting friends in the area and stopped to have breakfast, lots of food, well cooked, eggs over medium and gravy on the hash browns, just like I ordered. The separation of smokers from non was adequate. Tables and/or booths to accommodate family or couples, comfortable although the morning we went it was full, people were patiently standing outside to... More

Good breakfast and luncheon menu. The open faced chicken fried steak sandwich came with mashed potatos and gravy. They also have several other country menu items that are good and reasonably priced.

This is a little cafe right off highway 50 about 12 miles east of Lee's Summit at the Lone Jack exit. I have only been there for lunch (several times). Although the building is somewhat quaint, the food tastes homemade. Try the tenderloin sandwich, but be prepared to take half of it home with you. And please save room for... More
