We had a great time at Grinders. The sandwiches and salads are really delicious. The fried mushrooms are the best ever!

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was an all around great experience! It had a cool atmosphere and great staff. BUT THE FOOD WAS AWESOME! I could not believe the prices either. Great food, huge portions, and very affordable. I will definitely be back next time I'm on KC!

This is actually our third time to be at Grinders. We live in St.Louis and every time we're in the Kansas City area, we have to stop at Grinders. The atmosphere is kind of a grunge, hipster and alternative type. The food is great, especially the Philly Cheese Steak and the Pizza. The cook puts on a show when he... More

In town for a few days and wanted some good wings, hotel staff told us about grinders, they did not disappoint. Pick up 3 boxes of 24 wings. Not every place cook their wings in a large order right - well let me tell you that Ginders is the best at what they do with wings, thanks crew.

My husband and I seem to think that there are no wings out there hot enough for us. On a road trip across the country we stopped here specifically for their hottest wings. So that is the focus of this review. After one wing your whole throat is on fire and vision is blurred. I seriously thought one of us... More

This is one of my favorite lunch spots -- weekdays or weekend. (I usually frequent the Grinders WEST locale, just next door to Grinders.) The sandwiches are really tasty, each with its own special twist of deliciousness. They offer a nice 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwich combo. And, of course, they are known for their pizza. Great spot, hip atmosphere.... More

We ate lunch here recently and had a good experience. Nice craft beer listing, and an eclectic setting. The cheese steak sandwich was really good, as was the reuben; with it's kick of jalapeno in the sauerkraut. The smoked gouda potato casserole and old school krinkle cut fries were good sides for the sandwiches. Quick, friendly service.

Who would have thought jalepeno would be a good fit with sauerkraut on a Reuben? It's amazing stuff! Can't wait to go back and try more of the unusual pairings Grinders has to offer!
