I am rating this excellent mainly because of the décor. What fun to sit and look at all the paintings covering the wall. You are also given a guide to show you which paintings are patterned after famous artists. Lots of fun. The food was good and the wine list good.

My husband and I stopped in for a light lunch whilst visiting the Kemper Museum. My soup was really delicious. My husband had the special which was also good. Interesting surroundings to eat in too. Only downside was our unfriendly server - the worst we encountered on our entire trip. Having said that we'd still return - the food was... More

We walked in about noon on Sunday without reservations, which was OK, but I would recommend reservations. There are choices for brunch items, sandwiches, entrees, salads, etc., many of them inventive. I had corn Kobe beef hash, with egg and hollandaise sauce. The presentation was so pretty I snapped a picture of it. Excellent, crisp hash; various greens integrated in;... More

Cafe Sebastienne is a fine dining spot and offers some excellent brunch choices on the weekend. It's also a good place to take someone from out of town because it's special, and the food is excellent. Housed in the Kemper Museum, a small museum, provides a little time to browse after eating, and they have a lovely gift shop.

Café Sebastienne is now serving dinner on Thursdays. They have been since the beginning of 2016, but we were a little slow to discover this bit of information...ha! We went last night, July 28, and it was greater than great! Our server was friendly, but not overbearing, and he knew the food and drinks "inside out." My husband had a... More

The menu changes weekly. Can't recall the drink I had, it was peachy and fizzy and very refreshing. Very cool dining area right inside the museum.

open for lunch most days and dinner during the weekends. Excellent salads and light entrees for lunch. Dinner menu is very good. It is one of the best if not the best museum restaurants for dinner anywhere!

Has taken a step backward. Very disappointed on this visit. Was seated out in an enclosed patio where one could not hear onself speak. Have never been in such a noisy place. Soup was not good, like water. Doesn't barley soup usually have barley? Friend was not pleased with sandwiches.

Went for Sunday Brunch and while the environment is unusual (both in scale and in decor), as well as vibrant and engaging -- and the staff is friendly and accommodating, I was less than impressed with my food. I heard that it was difficult to get in so I even stopped in the day before to get a reservation. I... More
