The service was great with a nice selection of fare. Indoor/outdoor seating depending on the weather. Suggest making reservations ahead of time. Ate there twice, indoor once and outdoor once. You won't be disappointed!

5 stopped for drinks, asked to sit in balcony area as it was quite empty and to get the sun but was told to sit in a shaded area which we were not going to do, we had a family of 12 on holiday for 10 nights, they lost a lot of business

Exploring the beaches near Lagos in Algarve,we stumbled on the quaint Salem beach. We were hungry and the locals referred us to Boia Bar. Good service, fresh fish displayed in entrance.Loved our meal grilled sea bass plus grilled tiger schrimps with a half a bottle of Rose and two beers, 40€.

Remember when you visit that you are paying for the location and view. The staff are not particularly welcoming, and our waiter was having a bad day (or maybe he is surly all the time). They do make a big fuss over their regular customers, treating them like long lost friends, but casual clients such as I was are not... More

Stayed in Salema for a couple of weeks and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of a number of the restaurants, including Boia Bar. In fact, we visited Boia Bar several times during our stay and tried a number of dishes including duck and lamb, but found that our favourites were the pork in a mushroom cream sauce and the... Fantastic little bar/cafe right on the beach in Salema. We arrived in Salema early in the afternoon and walked toward the beach. It was lunch time so we decided to stop in and look at the menu. We decided to order some fish and a bottle of wine. We had sardines and sea bass. Both were excellent choices. We can't... More

This is a very busy restaurant that has seating both inside and out. On the occasion that I visited I had tender cooked lamb with potatoes and a lovely tapas starter. Recommended.

Fabulous beach bar/restaurant. The views of the beach are just perfect. Having visited many times over the years and never been disappointed I feel I must give it a great review.

You know life is hard when people complain about not being able to see the sea - at night!! We had no such worries and wisely booked a lunchtime table before setting up on the beach. A couple of hours tanning and splashing was a perfect way to sharpen the appetites. The grown-ups ordered fish, and eggs and chips for... More

4 of us visited on a weekend and were treated to an excellent meal. The grilled tiger prawns that I had as a starter were superb and the fillet steak was exquisite. A couple of the others had golden bream which was filleted at the table, and we all shared a couple of bottles of very good wine. It wasn't... More
