Good Gumbo, especially considering the distance to Cajun Country. Excellent fresh salad, all washed down with a cold draft. Excellent wait staff, friendly and personable. What you'd expect from an interesting area like Festus.

The food was great and the portions sizes were appropriate for the price. If I was down this way more I would come back. I had the crayfish etofee, it was a thinner broth than normal but still good.

Taytro's is a small little bistro/pub with a cajun and italian menu. The employees are all friendly, polite and good at their jobs. The food is fresh and tasty. The prices are moderate. It's not New Orleans or Lake Charles food but it's as close as we have found since the little gas station place in Dardienne Prairie moved &... More

I love Cajun food so was looking forward to trying this place. I ordered the sampler platter with red beans and rice, gumbo and jambalaya. Not impressed. Gumbo was bland tasting, ate some of it by adding hot sauce but still wasn't good by any means. Jambalaya had a little more flavor but texture was like mush. Red beans and... More

Taytro's has mainly Louisiana style Cajun food...red beans and rice, gumbo, jumbalaya, barbecue shrimp, catfish, and a good selection of drinks and beers. Service was excellent enen though there was a crowd. The food was above average..could have added a little more spice, but that is my preference and they do provide hot sauce. It was a very hot day... More

Toasted ravioli was tough and I would bet it had been frozen. Salad was good. I was visiting so I won't be going back but it wasn't my favorite place.

What?! Authentic cajun food in landlocked Festus Mo?! You better believe it! I was skeptical when we pulled up to this cute little place in a strip mall, but we decided to give it a try. We walked in and were met by super friendly staff and suddenly felt like we were eating just off the French Quarter in NOLA.... More

As a traveller who goes to New Orleans once a month for business, I can tell you that the food here is authentic. The po boys are delicious, especially if accompanied by the pulled pork nachos. When in Festus, you must try this place!

We had about 4 items from the menu, 6 beers, and a good selection of both. We sat right by the stage and would still say it was a good seat. The entire band came by our table and were very polite!
