Portions were huge!! Bread was very fresh and the bacon is outstanding. Highly recommend. We got a concrete with Peanut Butter, Bananas, pretzels and chocolate sauce. This concrete will make Ted Drew nervous.

An enjoyable luncheon experience in the old Ferguson train station. Food is very good, frozen custard is outstanding. You can sit and watch the train go by while you eat your lunch.
I first went to Whistle Stop many years ago when my mother took me by to try it. She loved trains... So do I! Unfortunately she passed away unexpectedly many years ago but I still have very fond memories of this this place. I will always remember how happy it made her to visit here and how I loved sitting... While Ferguson is obviously getting a very bad name for itself right now, I can't help but lobby for this quaint downtown. Not even the worst news stories could keep me away from trying this cute little ice cream place. The Whistle Stop is an ice cream shop in a remodeled train depot and I loved every bit of it!... More
It's nice to find a place that does not skimp on the malted in their malts. Cute location, sometime parking is a little dificult.
My husband had heard good things about this place, so we thought we'd give it a try. It's located inside of an old train station. When you walk into it, it has the look and feel of what a train stain might have been like a few decades or so ago. The employees were very nice. Besides desserts, they have... More
Just recently, my daughter and I have "discovered" Ferguson. I have lived in St Louis for 35 plus years, and just recently visited Ferguson for the first time. It turns out I've been missing out! This is a nice little restaurant on a small hill right off of South Florissant Road in downtown Ferguson. It is located adjacent to an... More
I love the unique set up of the place. It's specials are the best anywhere. You get a sandwich, cup of soup, and their custard for around $7-8 ( I can't remember if you get a drink with that). The staff is flexible for kids and very friendly.
Visited the Whistle Stop on a Saturday afternoon - Love the interior design with the railroad memorabilia and was pleasantly surprised to find a local telegraph operators group holding their meeting during our visit. One member of the group took time from his lunch to welcome us, explain the equipment in the permanent static display and make us welcome. The... More
