Nice location and very Nice Ambiance. We just went for late desert and drinks. Food looked smelled great earlier but it look like it was going to rain, which it did. So I'm glad we decided to skip the out side seating. Desert was really good esp the bread pudding.

I was nervous about meals on my recent trip to St Louis for my daughter's graduation. I knew the restaurants would be busy, it would be hard to accommodate large groups, and on top of everything thing else I was recently dx with a problem that requires me to limit sodium. Cafe Napoli was fantastic. They ensured I had a... More

Great salmon and calamari in an upscale setting with trained staff that recognizes clientele. I love this restaurant for business lunches and frequently see families, couples, business people. A top spot in Clayton!

Cafe Napoli had a very lively vibe---lots of people enjoying cocktails outside, along with a varied menu both inside and out. It offers valet parking, which was a plus. If noise is bothersome, this might not be the best place to eat, since it is indeed "lively." The wait staff was helpful and attentive.

We ate dinner here with friends who were trying it for the first time. They & we were impressed by the quality of the food and service. The sea bass and veal selections were delicious as were the smoked salmon tortellini and the seafood pasta. We found them to offer consistently excellent quality and excellent service too.

Nice Italian restaurant with good food and service. A very popular place and noise level is high. It was hard to hear the table conversation. The Bella Napoli salad was very good. The portions for entrees are big.

Cafe Napoli is very nice, fairly priced, good service, and well prepared food. Just remember that some nites that is changes to a very loud night club. Seemed fun but our group would have liked something a little quieter.

We had a large party of 11 and had a private room. The service was excellent. They know their menu and come to the table and show you the specials and cuts of meat and fish for that evening. I had the toasted beef ravioli which was delicious. I also had spaghetti with hot Italian sausage with garlic and olive... More

We brought a large business group to Café Napoli for dinner. What a wonderful experience. We had a choice of four different entrees. I had the rigatoni with meat sauce. Pasta cooked to perfection and great flavors in the sauce. The starter salad was fresh and tasty and the tiramisu was awesome. Service was excellent which made for terrific experience... More

Cafe Napoli has a great bar scene and a stylish restaurant combined. The Italian menu was very good, especially the eggplant parmigiana. The veal chop saltimbocca was exceptional. The steaks were also very good and cooked to perfection. The wine selection was good and the dessert selection was typical for a classic Italian eatery. Great choice for Italian and or... More

Description
When Tony Pietoso opened the original Cafe Napoli in the '80s, it quickly became a success. So Successful, in fact, that it moved to a bigger location at 7754 Forsyth Blvd. The restaurant continued to flourish with its generous portions of regional Italian specialties. Cafe Napoli has recently undergone a facelift and has added Bar Napoli next door. The swank cocktail lounge has soft lighting and a separate wine room that can accommodate 30 diners. The kitchen is headed by chef Jeff Davis, who has been with the restaurant for several years. Fortunato Pietoso, Tony's brother, has also returned to the kitchen. Tony makes rounds chatting with customers, many of whom appear to be on a first-name basis with him. The sons Ande and Kye split their time between the Bar and Cafe, as they are being groomed to take over the family business. Cafe Napoli is a must visit when in the St. Louis area. Some guests include Tony Bennett, Gloria Estefen, Joe Torre and Arnold Palmer to name a few.
