I almost gave this four stars but I thought it was reeeeeally overpriced. The food was good, I was just shocked when we got the bill (though later I was told that's common in Clayton). The app we had was "bruschetta" but it was verrrry different than normal- it had butternut squash and pancetta or bacon. It was really good,... More

LONG waits, even at an early 6pm. Charming space with wood tables and real candles. Open kitchen with lovely scents wafting out. All at our table ordered different pastas. They were all liked, but I wouldn't say anyone was blown-away. For example, I ordered the pasta with beef, green olives, and gremolata. I counted 4 olive halves in my dish... More

Had sometime in Clayton and decided to try Pastaria for lunch. Warm greeting and a very good experience. Fresh ingredients and tasty soup followed by a special salad which was very good. I will be back on our next trip.

Pastaria fits the bill for so many occasions. Very family friendly but still great for just couples. Brunch offers pastas and more traditional brunch fare. Good value for great food.

We called ahead about gluten free choices and we told any pasta on the menu could be made gluten free. After we were seated, we learned quite the opposite. There is only one choice of noodle (spiral) and only one type of sauce: flavored olive oils. I cannot recommend this restaurant. It lacks quality, selection and atmosphere. Not worth the... More

We always try to visit Pastaria when visiting the St. Louis area. It is by far, the best Italian place in town. The meatballs are amazing and the chopped salad is out of this world!

Risotto balls to start, two different sauces and enough to share. Lunch was a mixed greens salad that was sweet and savory. The vegetable panini was crunchy on the outside and full of cheese, spring mix and tasty sauce inside. Many choices for gluten-free and vegetarian customers as well. The staff is always smiling, friendly and knowledgeable of the food.

Everyone left with a full belly and enough for another meal. The kids pizza was huge. My 7 yo and 11 yo have big appetites and neither was able to finish. Definitely enough to split. You can tell everything is homemade....pasta is perfect and the bread is light and fluffy. Kids were entertained coloring on the tablecloths which was a... More

Pros: Drinks were good, prosecco and cherry soda Starters were very nice, the minestrone soup was very chunky and tasty with warm hot bread. Cons: Mains weren't great at all, lasagna was dry and oily, chicken pasta was horrid, chicken tasted awful, and the third and forth dish were ok. Three out of four of us left the restuarant feeling... More

The restaurant was filling-up and we had no reservations, but the bar seating was available and we took advantage of it. Actually, I really liked it as we had a nice view of the kitchen action and the pizza oven. There were three of us, and we each had a different pasta, all excellent! I'll definitely go back next time... More
