I booked a table as it can sometimes be difficult to get a table on Sundays at lunchtime. Like all pubs now , Sunday lunch was on offer with a variety of meats to chose from including smaller plates for children and anyone with a small appetite. We opted for other meals off the large menu and they were very... More

Returned yet again, for a meal with a friend in he evening. The waitress has been there a long time and can be a little stressed/ off hand, but the bar staff are humorous and more observing. Great food, sone meals have been on the menu for years - good to see. Will return with another friend soon.

Lovely meal for our party of four, quality food. What was great for me was the flexibility of the menu. Being gluten free, with other intolerances, some places make you feel awkward, like you have a choice. That was not the case here. Everything was explained and when I said the main ingredient I wanted, there were great options on... More

Another quick lunch of Prawn Thermidor and lovely fresh salad. Service always friendly and food was very nice. Busy for a lunchtime which is always a good sign.

Visited with a friend. I have been before and had good basic pub food. This time I ordered a special, sea bass with pesto. It came with a good portion of fish (I did pay for the two fillets though) but they were both drowned in pesto. The taste was overpowering, I had to scrape it off to eat the... More

Called here the other day for evening meal. The pub is an attractive village pub with an extensive menu. Dogs are welcome in the bar area. The food was great, imaginative, tasty and nicely presented. The staff were efficient and friendly. Good cask beers. Would recommend.

We booked their function room for a family event. The meals were absolutely delicious, the steak pie and the chicken with haggis mash are highly recommended. They have skittles facilities which is great fun too.

A group of 10 decided we wanted to go out for a Xmas lunch, and decided on the Bluebell as several of us had eaten here before. On the festive menu there were 4 choices on 1 & 2 course meals and 5 on the desserts. Our group between us ordered most of them, only the Stilton not being chosen,... More
