We had sunday lunch here last Sunday and were impressed by the food and service. There was a good range of dishes including vegetarian options. The ingredients were of high quality and it was nice to have fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. Most of us opted for the gammon which was succulent and tasty. The nut roast was also highly praised.... More

Popped into the coach after a spot of shopping in Watford. The service was excellent and prompt. Was greeted with a massive hello by the staff and smiles all round. Was offered a drink pretty much as soon as I'd entered the pub. I ordered the burger with Mac and cheese and bacon. Which when it came out was huge.... More

Ate here on Sunday, went with 4 adults and 4 children and sadly left disappointed. Restaurant was in disarray but yet was seemingly only half full, nevertheless the waiting staff were pleasant enough, albeit one of the waitresses coming in to the bar with an order in hand not knowing where it was to be delivered, and was demanding a... Just popped here on my lunch break with my colleague. I ordered a bacon brie and cranberry sandwich and my friend a jacket potato with cheese and beans. I had asked for the bacon to be well done. 30 minutes later they arrived. Disgusting, my sandwich was swimming in cranberry with one piece of undercooked bacon at a cost of... More

We gave this a second chance after a change of hand and my sister having had some good meals there recently The food was reasonably good. However over 20 minutes after ordering we were informed that only three beef were available so we had to reorder strikes me as a long time to discover this. The whitebait came with no... More

We walked in a few Sundays ago with out a booking and were very lucky to get probably the last two seats available. We were not disappointed. The pork belly was beautifully cooked, the burger was obviously home made and done very well. While the staff were flat out as they were fully booked, the service was quick, friendly and... More

Lovely lunch today with mum and dad, we had fish and chips, mixed grill, chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding, with cappuccinos. Food was good, hot (which is always a bug of mine) and well priced. Very quiet lunchtime but nice lunch out with very friendly staff. Thank you x

Visited for Sunday lunch, not eaten here before but have heard positive feedback lately - didn't disappoint. Grabbed a sharing plate of olives and pitta/houmous while we waited for lunch, great portion and actually the food arrived far quicker than expected! Both of us had the lamb shank for lunch, really well cooked and huge portion. Came with roasties, yorkie... More

Just been to enjoy Sunday Lunch just wonderful the selection and quality of our Sunday roasts was perfect. The lamb, beef and the pork were generous in their portion sizes and cooked very well. Friendly staff and good food what more can you ask for on a damp spring Sunday. I know that the new owner has had to contend... More

Description
The Coach and Horses on The Green has always been associated with travel and has been providing the families of Croxley Green with journeys since 1744. Whether enjoying lunch on the decking or a beer on the patio, dinner in the restaurant or a quiet pint in front of the fire, The Coach has something for everyone. The larger of the two pubs on the famous Green, it has been lovingly restored to former glories and enjoys an enormous outdoor seating play area for families where you can bask in the warmth of the friendly service. The food served is simple, tasty, hearty and nostalgic with an emphasis on sharing and there is a wonderful range of cask ales, continental beers and a fabulous wine list too.
