With the Thatchers cider manufacturing building outside and a frosty November evening, this pub is idyllic and very cosy for a family get together.

Seems the latest 'must go to' pub for all local Boden/Crew wearing accountant types, which is annoying to watch and listen to the chatter of. Could do with a few more 'mixed' locals to break it up a bit as at the moment I can't imagine for a second this is anyone's 'local'. The building and decor are the best... More

I had heard great reviews of this place from many people i know so i had to try it. We went for an evening meal on a Sunday (5 adults/5 children). The staff were all very well trained and happy to help with anything and it was great to go somewhere with a great menu that is happy to accommodate... More

We had a family meal for 8 on Sunday lunchtime and the food, service and atmosphere was just brilliant. Sometimes these type of pubs which have been updated can either loose their warmth or be a bit tacky, The railway Inn has been modernised beautifully with the right mix of old and modern giving it a homely but quality feel.... We have previously called in for a drink a number of times as a convenient stop while walking along the Strawberry Line route, today we also had lunch. I have eaten a lot of excellent ham in pubs in the West Country, this was more expensive but is up there with the best. The thick glazed ham was really tender,... More

Six of us had dinner at the Railway Inn on a busy Saturday night. We found the food disappointing. Most dishes were over elaborate with confusing tastes. The service was amateur, seemingly untrained staff and out of their depth. Two courses with nice, but pricey wine, was about £35 per head. The room is large and high and noisy with... More

I have ate at the Railway 5 times since its open and I have to say I can't fault it, I have had both lunch and evening meals and both have been great. Has two sides, one is a modern looking area to eat with big glass windows and oak beams, really nice, the other side is in keeping with... More

My mother in-law had gluten free menu... More

Place itself fabulous, but sadly food let's it down . Welsh rarebit starter toast burnt , meat platter with griddle bread burnt!. Mains egg and ham lovely, but hard to cock up ! Pheasant tough as old boots . Not enough staff, reminding several times that drinks have still not arrived. So sad really as such a great venue but... More
