We had visited this place once in the past to visit our grad daughter at MSU. So she was graduating now and we returned to the Veranda because of our enjoyable experience before. The food was still very good. We had the blue plate lunch which was Mississippi catfish. It was as good as any I've ever eaten. It was... More

I would give it one more try just because it does have some high reviews. I may have just been there on a off night. The salad was wilted and the fish was very greasy. The service was good

If you like good, efficient service, this is not your place. We were there on a random Wednesday night. It wasn't packed, but it took 2+ hours to get a single appetizer for the table, salad, and entrees. The waiter worked hard, but we hardly saw him. Drink glasses empty most of the night... We weren't the only ones. People... More

The Veranda is a great place for a business dinner. Reservations are recommended and ours was honored immediately upon arrival. We had a nice seat on the veranda and the weather was nice. Service & food was great. Beer selection is also good.

I have eaten here several times, each time it is A+. This restaurant would have a ridiculous wait time if it was in Los Angeles of Chicago. Try the crispy duck! Their lunch menu is awesome and inexpensive.

The place was packed with church goers. We chose the pick a main dish and three sides. The fried chicken with gravy was very good and the cornbread was yummy as well. The sweet potatoes and veggies were okay. It is filling and the food came out very quickly.

The Veranda does a really nice job with some southern favorites. They have a clean and spacious restaurant and it is set up where it is much less noisy than comparable restaurants. We thought the chicken and dumplins carried too much of a "dough" taste, but the fried chicken with gravy was a solid hit. The sides were very well... More

Everything I've had is excellent. Brunch and lunch are great deals. Try the crispy duck for dinner. Good cocktail, beer and wine choices. The service is always friendly and efficient.

The Veranda is fast becoming an iconic spot in StarkVegas. Quality of the food is impeccable, the staff is above average, and prices are just a notch above what you'd like them to be. The Sunday Brunch here will be hard to beat! Excellent menu selections. You'll enjoy the experience.
