Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unfortunately we chose this venue to catch up with family for lunch. 4 of us ordered , burgers and parmas .. 2 and 2 .. sent back one order immediately as the chips were overcooked and almost cold ! Steakhouse chips ? I don't think...so . Salad was just cabbage . Chicken was processed yuk . Glass of water , lipstick on the glass 😳 Told the waitress who took the glass , but didn't return with a clean one ....! Certainty, won't be back .More

Nice venue but the food was below par even for pub food. Prices high for a pub. The seniors meals were like leftovers. The steak was curling up it had so much grizzle and fat on it, so tough was hard to even cut. The...barramundi was nice but the size of a small palm of your hand. Disguised by half a plate is salad some cold chips so very small piece of fish even though it was almost the most expensive meal on the menu. Far to expensive for this quality of food.More

Large restaurant eating area broken into various little settings provides a comfortable place to sit and enjoy your meal with friends. Staff are all friendly and efficient. The menu provides enough variety that it would suit all palates. The food was served promptly, hot and...just as we ordered. Had lunch here. Service was good. Food was fresh, I ordered the prawn fettuccine and the better half had the caesar salad. My dish was excellent and a good size for lunch. The better half has had a better caesar, this one was ok just...not her favourite. It was also a good sized portion for lunch. 8.5/10More

We held my husband's 40th in one of the function rooms. Where do I start? The service was impeccable, the food delicious, best espresso martinis I've had in a LONG time - even served in wine glasses, totally fine- and the atmosphere sensational. All my...requests where accepted with a smile and attended to immediately. Don't even get me started on how delicious the gluten free wood fired pizza is! We also stayed at the hotel next door - so spacious and clean! the bedding was sooo comfortable too! Next was the recovery meals from the bistro - another gluten free pizza for lunch Yummm and a whole bunch of food for dinner, we brought the kids along for this part. Do yourselves a favour and give this place a go!More

You would think that at a Pub or Hotel a Parma would be done with perfection, too easy we are in Australia. Wrong I am sad to say ours was soggy and microwaved, table next to us had the same. Not hard to fry them...fresh!!!More

Lunched today in the Bistro and staff went above and beyond to accommodate “guest of honours”request for prawns when they didn’t appear on the menu. Our staff member “Bee” did everything possible to make this a special and memorable day, negotiating with the kitchen and...other waitstaff and the prawns were absolutely amazing.More

Ordered 3 chicken parmas and 2 Burgers. All 3 parmas raw in the middle. How can you get 3 chicken parmas so wrong. Management were great with refunds etc, but a 12 year old could cook better parmas. Never again will we step foot in...the place.More

Went here for dinner with 2 other people and I can not understand how they can possibly think any of food they serve is good quality. I had fish with chips and salad the chip were the same French fries McDonald's serve yet they were...over cooked. The fish was so oily in thick batter also over cooked and the salad a few leaves of lettuce. Yuck really. I was so angry at the state of the meal and the price, I should of just gone down the road to McDonald's if I wanted junk food. The other 2 people had parmas with chips too. Their food was in the same state mine was. If you want a nicer meal go to the sports bar at the Dingley as they have meals which don't taste worse than junk food. Will not eat in the restaurant again. The waiters were fantastic though and I felt sorry for them.More

Our first and sadly last meal at this restaurant. Bar service was awful. Ordered 5 drinks at the bar, 1 drink was incorrect, other two drinks took 20-25mins to get to table. Entrees were cheese and pesto bread and loaded fries. Theses were both ok...and arrived before the final two drinks! Main meals were disappointing my teriyaki salmon was over cooked and lacked any teriyaki flavour,I had to salt it heavily to get any flavour at all. The salad under salmon was awful, couldn't eat it. The fisherman's plate was piled with heavily battered, oily and mostly tasteless seafood. The pulled pork nachos were super sweet and served in a very small pan, overpriced at $19. Certainly won't be returning. Other two meals were good. Cost $200 for 5 people which was money down the drain.More

Terribly disappointed! This place use to be a diamond in the rough with a well thought through menu cooked beautifully and the aesthetic of the venue to match. I’ve been eagerly waiting to get back here to support this business. Covid restrictions have finally eased,...we made our booking and off we went. The venue is still as beautiful as ever even with less numbers and less atmosphere. We sat in the outdoor dining area overlooking some garden and fairy lights. Really pretty. We ordered lemon lime bitters and a red wine. Both warm which should have been telling. My husband orders the main ‘calamari’ And I the reserve Angus 200g steak. I asked for a side of vegetables and was told no they don’t do vegetables anymore (I wish I was joking). His calamari was dry with the seasoning looking burnt. Served not with a tartar but a sweet chilli Mayo. Not nice at all. He could barely eat it. We could have had better calamari at our local hunky dory’s for half the price double the quality. My steak I asked for medium - well and it came out burnt and dry. The mushroom sauce was thin and watery with no joke 3 pieces of mushroom. My side was fries (nothing wrong with these but then how can you stuff up fries) and a fernaise salad. This fernaise salad was literally 4 pieces of lettuce and grated cheese. Laughable. This meal cost me $38 Although bitterly let down we thought maybe just maybe the dessert would be what salvages the night. I order a crime brûlée to share. This is the nail in the coffin. The crime brûlée was wobbly (good sign) but there was definitely no burnt cream on top, no beautiful cracking of the sugar. And what made it worse is there was a side of balsamic strawberry with herb on top !!! Who in their right mind puts a wet condiment on top of what is meant to be a crisp sharp dessert. Sadly my love affair with this place has come to a devastating end. I will never be going back. I did advise the staff that the meals were uninspired and questioned how they could be so drastically different from before to now to which I was advised there is a new head chef. If he or management read this I truly hope for their sake that these issues are addressed. The reality is it can’t get any worse only better. Goodluck and here’s hoping your experience is better then oursMore
