don't judge this place by the building its in, you have to try the food! Huge sirloins and whole ribeye, handcut fries, homemade tamales, excellent all the way around!

Forget the surroundings, forget the sketchy neighborhood, forget the shabby exterior, forget the rather dilapidated entrance (into the kitchen); prepare yourself for the best steak you will ever eat. The BEST.... we chose the ribeye, which easily feeds two adults. Even at almost $ 50,...More

as you walk in the door, you instantly notice the huge open meat oven spewing heat and wonderful smells of beef being seared. The hostess will take you from the "meat oven" room, through another part of the kitchen and to the back where the...More

We have always heard you must eat at Doe's so on a mini vacation we decided to go. Loved the old building and the kitchen being right in middle. But Very disappointed in the meal. There are no menus and waitress offered no suggestions so...More

We are visiting Greenville for my husband's job and we like to research the best restaurants to try food not from home. Although the place looks sketchy at first, looks are definitely deceiving! We walked through the kitchen to our table and were greeted by...More

A very different place, in a good way. Rustic. Great meals. Steaks are unreal. We had the tamales and sat in the kitchen. A must do and worth going out of your way for.

With plenty of great steak options in Jackson, I'm often disappointed with local favorites. Not the case here. This is one steak house that lives up to the hype.

Doe's has great service and even better food. The portions are large so make sure you bring an empty stomach. The price is steep but worth every penny. It is a BYOB restaurant. A great place to meet friends and family for a relaxing evening...More

Get ready for a taste of southern cooking and preparation. The steaks served here are of great quality. Atmosphere is something that will surprise you, walk through the kitchen to the tables. Quality of food is the shinning star here, not a big selection of...More

Waited about 45 mins. on a Saturday night to get a table. Old restaurant with a very inefficient layout. Had to walk thru two different kitchen areas to get to our table. Uninspiring interior with window a/c units - it least it was cool inside...More

The steaks at Doe's Eat Place are pricey and worth every penny. The porterhouse was at least $60; it may have been $65. The fillets run about $40. You won't regret it, but bring a credit card or a lot of cash.
