We (my daughter and I) needed a cosy cafe with a wide range of food options. We have been to Bricks and Stones several times and it has always had excellent food, drinks and service, so we decided it met our needs today.
We both love the quirkyish interior with its warm ambience, enhanced by brick walls and furniture. The waitress immediately gave us water and the menu, and took a drink order. I was very happy with my runny poached eggs on crunchy ciabatta and extremely flavoursome mushrooms. My daughter ordered the 'big brick' without eggs and enjoyed it thoroughly. I ordered a medium coffee but it looked like a regular cup size. I didn't follow up on it as it wasn't a big issue however I would have liked it to be a bit stronger.
Despite a good crowd of customers and music, my daughter and I were able to enjoy our conversation and I felt the price was reasonable. Highly recommend others visit Bricks and Stones.

Been here 4 times now and had something different each time and blown away each time! Food is plentiful and cooked to perfection, varied and different with some amazing flavours. Coffee is always good too. I went a few weeks ago and had the granola for breakfast I’m usually a bacon and eggs guy but due to current diet opted for this, wow it was a revelation, pure deliciousness and so big didn’t eat anything until 7pm and had a snack only. Most recent trip had the smashed avo and eggs, amazing again and so filling. This place gets chock a block on Saturday mornings, you HAVE to book. It gets pretty noisy inside too so take that into account. You can sit outside in the rear but there are only a few tables. Service is exceptional all the waitresses know their stuff, considering the place was full the wait for food wasn’t very long. It isn’t cheap but you definitely get what you pay for, all the ingredients were perfect fresh and good quality. Only minor negative thing was the menu on the website isn’t the same as the cafe so one of them needs updating. But there ar3 so many fine options it wasn’t a problem.

Visited Father's Day, for breakfast. Wide range of choices, from sumptuos porridge to green veggie breakfast, and a variety of egg dishes of course! My eyes lit up when I saw Matcha latte on the menu. The waitress thoughtfully let me know that it isn't sweet, like many other cafes. I ordered it, and it was perfect! Not bitter at all, very pleasant. I don't very often have eggs, at any time of day, but I ordered poached eggs on ciabatta with tomato and spinach. The egg was perfect, just gooey enough, the spinach was delicious and the tomato just right. Husband's big breakfast was filling and tasty, and daughter's pancakes sweet yet delectable and moreish. Lots of people arrived just before we left, testimony to Bricks and Stones quality.

Had an awful experience at bricks and stones on the 16/05/2021. We ordered our food and coffee straight away when seated yet it took 1 hour to arrive. There was no warning that food or drinks would take this long and when questioned they just said it was coming. Very disappointing, no apology was given. It was not okay for the cost, time and effort. Very disappointing.

We stopped in here only because another cafe we were meant to go to was full. Well, We were delighted by our second choice!!! Beetroot juice was so fresh with a good amount of ginger and the greens and grains plate was just brilliant. I’m not vegetarian but it packed flavour and really was very large - almost too large if that’s a valid complaint! Pancakes were good but unfortunately swimming in the passionfruit sauce so a bit too sweet and soaked into the pancakes. If served in a jug that would have been perfect to be able to regulate the taste and sogginess!
Seemed extremely popular and busy so it was nicer once a few larger tables had departed and the noise level dropped but great vibe and service and enough menu options to please everyone. The banana bread looked decadent so there’s a reason to return!! And the French toast also looked enticing!

I enjoy the food here but... I arrived before 2:30 pm previously and was turned away, so I called ahead today. I understood closing was at 3 (including the kitchen). ....Turned away again today over the phone (at 2:17)....I was just outside. The issue the first time was the condescending tone of the young lady delivering the news that they were effectively closing early as it was not busy. Not good business in my opinion...there are other great cafés open in the neighbourhood with better customer service from their young staff.

Visited for Birthday Brunch on Sunday morning. Disappointed as service very delayed both drinks and food. Over an hour wait. Then received meals and 3 out 4 were cool to cold. When mentioned to management there was no action at all.

Nice coffee and a great spot in Unley. Would be 4 stars however when I visited my friends coffee was forgotten from our order (only about 3 others tables in at the time) which was never noticed and we had to ask twice for it to be made. Also the food itself was ok but no wow factors unfortunately. We will be back again though soon as I have feeling we caught them on an off day perhaps?

A favourite drop in spot in Unley. Often for a coffee, sometimes for lunch. It’s always good and the staff are always helpful.

Excellent bacon & eggs. Great service and great little location. Was pretty busy when we went but this didn’t impact the service at all. Highly recommend.

I had 45 mins to kill before my dentist appointment so I thought I'd sit and have a relaxing coffee and a light breakfast at Bricks and Stone cafe. I ordered at the counter then went around the corner to sit on a comfy armchair. Since I ordered a coffee and croissant only I was wondering why it was taking so long, especially as they only had a few customers. Eventually I could see the waitresses come and poke their heads around the corner and realise I was there and then pick up my food and drink that had obviously been sitting there for a while. The croissant had been cut in half horizontally and vertically and put in a toaster or microwave so it was soggy and disgusting. Just serve me a whole croissant! I'm an adult and can eat it the way I please, I don't need it cut up for me! The butter came in two small plastic single use foil lidded containers. Disgusting when I'm eating in and you could just put some butter in a small dish. The coffee was pretty cold, and was extremely bitter and burnt and undrinkable. I ended up forcing myself to drink half and left the rest. I wanted to sit and read a book and relax but a tv was going loudly and was not quite right so a loud static noise was going along with the noise of the tv show. You go to a cafe to quietly sit or have a chat with friends, not to listen to or watch a tv. This was a wholly disappointing experience and I would never come back.
