Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited on a Saturday night, was seated right away and I must say our waitress was superb, couldn’t do enough throughout our dinner. We had starters of arancini and the pumpkin ravioli which were tasty although the ravioli were a little heavy given they were served in burnt butter but nice all the same. The pizzas were also good with a nice base which is hard to find. Well worth a visit and reasonably priced.

We ordered a caprese salad and pear salad for entrees. Both were fine and large servings, although some of the tomato was a little mushy. For mains we ordered Spaghetti Bolognese and Baked Eggplant. The Eggplant arrived cold and had to be sent back for reheating. To their credit they made a new one rather than reheating the original one but that of course meant I had finished my main before my wifes arrived. She sat and watched whilst I ate and then I sat and watched whilst she ate. My Spag Bol was okay but was very basic and really no better than the frozen ones I buy from the supermarket. I guess I expected something a bit better for my $27. The staff were very friendly and efficient so only the kitchen let the side down a little.

I went into this venue looking for a traditional Spag & Meatballs...until I heard the chef tell how they make the Italian sausage and sauce... I stepped off the plank, and tried...Very Pleased with my choice. the sauce had just that right bite of spice and the pasta melded~well. Nice meal, thanks!

Food is good. But! A covid rule ‘you must order a main meal each, and you can’t share. rediculous!. Particularly as our 1st round of drinks were 4 x $18 cocktails and we ordered a second round before the food order was placed. As a result of the confrontation, we reduced our food order and still spent $385 on the meal (For pizza!) for 4 people! You were worried we would not make it worthwhile for you in these trying times? Rather than place a ‘must order a main each’ why not put a minimum per head of $50? COVID or not as a result of experience and the horrible attitude of your manager, we will not return nor recommend your restaurant to our friends.

8 ladies went for dinner on Tuesday night. We had been numerous times before and had been very happy. Unfortunately something has gone very wrong with the food. We used to rave about the antipasto platter but on Tuesday night what we were given was absolutely not worth the money that we were charged ($67.50 for 3 people). We got 3 pieces of parmesan cheese (who puts parmesan cheese on an antipasto plate?), no other cheese apart from that. So obviously the same cheese as they would use for pasta. No olives, no bread to go with it only a few breadsticks that we could have bought at Woolies and a few pieces of meat and store bought stuffed peppers. We could have done better ourselves at home!!! One of us ordered the pumpkin ravioli that was absolutely swimming in oil, same with the asparagus. Also the rice in the risotto was undercooked. What has happened? The menu has been changed and it's nowhere near as good as it used to be and the cooks need to be taught a thing or two. A good point is the wait staff were fantastic and very friendly. Unfortunately, we won't be back any time soon. Big disappointment.

Very disappointed with the veal - it was thin tough and over cooked. Staff did a good job very noisy - some people moved tables to get outside and away from the noise. It was much better 12 months ago we gave it a try but not again

Great service from the owner, food of highest quality, served professionally and children catered for. A real treat. Wines: you can bring your own but we enjoyed a bottle of Shiraz from the menu which was excellent.

We ordered our meal and waited and waited for quite some time eventually we got our meal. Pizza was burnt, chips was not hot just frozen packet chips. Battered fish was doughy very pedestrian and the veal was not what you would expect by reading the menu. Over priced. Do not recommend and would never go there again.

Sometime between New Years Eve 22/23 and last Saturday night "someone" lost the plot?? Service was good. Food was really average and didn't they put the boot in on the prices. This is meant to be a local eatery for people to frequent regularly. It's pricing alone is out of most people's reach. Good luck. We won't be back.

Refreshing and delicious is the only way to describe our dinner. We arrived at 5.30, still within the COVIDSafe social distancing. The service first rate and friendly and we almost had the restaurant to ourselves. Within an hour it was buzzing! We are so grateful to have such a high class restaurant in our local area.

Sister restaurant at Dee Why beach which shares the same menu pretty much. Better parking than Dee Why and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The Japanese restaurant next door is pretty good too.

What a lovely experience today. Tough doing business during this difficult time, but the service and food was absolutely fantastic. Well done boys...you made our day. The veal was superb, and the coffee was A1. Highly recommended Cheers Clive and Denise

Meals of all four people were nothing special but I suppose it is only a restaurant in a suburban shopping centre. Entrée was very close to being burnt--I was surprised they served it. Second drink order during the meal had to be asked for again--no apologies were offered. Sunday surcharge of 10% hardly seemed worth it considering the standard of service. A credit card surcharge is expected but having to pay the credit charge surcharge of 1.5% on an EFTPOS transaction is wrong. I paid cash.

Takeaway pizza and pasta: My pizza before the menu update was so bad I was reluctant to go back (I did ring and question the quality of the product but was told that the menu had changed and that was the way it was). I like a prawn pizza (apologies to those who hate seafood on pizzas!) and the changed pizza menu (first change) meant that the prawns were cut into such small pieces that when it was put into the oven to cook the dough the prawn turned into tough, tastleless bits the size of a baby's fingernail. From the prawns' size and the way they were cut up there would have been, at the most, two prawns in total on the whole pizza. Vowed not to return as it's not a cheap menu in the first place. The other day I relented and found that the pizza menu had changed again with the prawn pizza back to the old 'Gamberi'-prawns, zucchini, chilli. Before ordering I checked that the prawns would be bigger and explained my previous experience and was assured that now they were butterflied. Wrong-they were cut into quarters (eighths?). The pizza would have been acceptable though except for the very hot chilli sauce which was liberally doused all over the pizza through a squeezie sauce bottle (the menu did include chilli in the ingredients but I presumed it would be fresh not sauce). It was so hot and so much of it that after a couple of bites I couldn't eat it even after scraping most of it off. The pizza was ruined - couldn't taste the other ingredients. Prawns are a delicately flavoured ingredient and they were totally overwhelmed by the chilli. The other dish ordered was the Penne Calabrese which was good and thoroughly enjoyed by the recipient. This is not a cheap restaurant, especially when considering it's located in a shopping centre, facing a car park in suburban Belrose. On the plus side, it's convenient. Perhaps the owner needs to eat the menu to see what's being served to his customers - some hits, lots of misses. They have a genuine wood-fired pizza oven which gives a great flavour but the toppings are generally disappointing. They're a bit fussy and complicated and don't let the quality of the base ingredients shine.

Ambiance, friendliness and service 10/10. Most of all the divine meal we enjoyed. - Zucchini flowers with 4 cheeses - Oysters with champagne mignonette and finger lime -Spatchcock oven baked with salame, Sicilian olives, white wine, garlic, chilli & rosemary with twice cooked duck fat potatoes & friarielli - Barramundi with celeriac mash - Margherita pizza - Dessert ridiculously deliciously tasty even though we were full I could not stop eating it. Food was honestly spectacular, everything looked to good to eat but we did and if I wasn’t in a restaurant I would have licked the plate. Thank you Stella team for a great night we will be back 👍
