Outstanding food and service!

Chopstix is outstanding, very tasty and the service is excellent. My family of 4 ordered a variety of dishes and found the food to be fresh and lite.

Chopstix Chinese Restaurant

Visiting family whilst in Sydney. Highly recommended Chinese inside the RSL. An extensive range of quality, fresh and flavoursome meals. We had a variety of entrees, pork chop in peking sauce and traditional curry chicken and fried rice. Well priced and a nice ambience near the Koi Pond.

We met first in the stylish Imogen’s Bar and we had a very comfortable table for 8. It was easy for everyone to talk and to be able to hear each other which is a big plus. We were so relaxed there that it took a bit of an effort to go to our lunch booking at Table 2164 also in the club. We had a booking and the manager kindly gave me the table that we requested. She was helpful and friendly. The roast beef and roast potato, pumpkin and veg was very good and was very reasonable. Other meals were fairly normal prices. There were a few specials listed where you order including barramundi. Many enjoyed the small desserts like the very good citrus tart. We had coffee and then moved back to Imogen’s as it was a bit cool in Table 2164 as there weren’t many people there. A very enjoyable afternoon. We will return!

Chopstix at Smithfield RSL

Avoid this place like the CoronaVirus. Shocking service or no service at all. Took 1hr to get drinks then 1.5hrs to get any food served to us. Then mains arrived in the last 10minutes before our show minus dessert. Look if you have 3hrs and you aren’t ravenous, you’ll enjoy the food because the food is good. Very small portions. Don’t arrive hungry.

Chinese Lunch

Went to Smithfield RSL with a life member for his 92nd Birthday. Bar staff member recommended Table 2164. We should have listened. Booked a table for 4 Adults at Chopstix Chinese. We sat at our table and pressed the button on table for bar service. After 6 times pressing the button and my friend who is 94 years also pressed with nothing happening. We asked to order twice and was dismissed by the young lady and the one who was coming back to take our order also very dismissive. After 1/2 hour still no drink order or lunch order. Then the table behind turned up and with in 2 minutes had a drink order in and we are still waiting. You guessed, we did the walk as they didn’t deserve our money. Went to Table 2164. Food and Service FANTASTIC

Booked this venue for after funeral gathering.The function manager was very helpful .The food was very good and the staff were all fantastic. I was worried about the booking as it was for interstate people ,however they all commented on the high quality service ,thank you for a great experience

Try Chopstix restaurant

It was my first time visit to Smithfield RSL and as soon as walked in you were greeted with a friendly smile and a funny comment. I sat at the Gbar to have a drink while we waited for the rest of our group to have dinner at Chopstix. Chopstix is Asian cuisine with a lot of variety. We had the banquet and changed a few of the dishes. The seafood and vegetarian dishes are very good. The food was really good and the prices very reasonable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. What I liked best about them is that we weren't rushed out like many other restuarants, especially on a Friday night. I'll be back!

Dinner with friends, we had garlic pizza, bruschetta to start, all going well, chicken burger, corn fritters, lamb chops, still going well, then someone had fettuccine boscialo, they were happy till nearly the end when there was extra flavour that shouldn't have been there. Lucky we had all finished, except for the pasta eater. The lights are a little 2 bright, we were pretty much the only people there and 1 staff member felt she needed to clean our table while we were still sitting there, spraying her spray bottle around us. She left us for a little while then cam back and put the menus on the table, a 30 second job that could have been performed after we had left.

Inefficient staff

Visited chopstix restaurant for a meal with my family. We ordered 3 Entrees - took too long to come out and when they did come out only one was served. Main meals came out virtually on top of the entrees. Service was not good either...one waiter came out made silly comments about the meals..

Newly renovated! Service and meal fantastic!

Was really impressed with the new renovations. More light and great colour scheme. Food was very impressive and portions were very generous. Price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely come back!! Food was very fresh and great variety to choose from menu. Well done Smithfield rsl!

Lots of variety

Came here for a quick drink before lunch, the club was modern, the staff very friendly, there were plenty of places to eat including a bistro. The only downside was the Sunday afternoon entertainment, certainly not targeted to the young people- but great if you are an Elvis fan or like to boot scoot! We will come back again and try out the food I hear the noodle bar is cheap and delicious!

No soft she'll crab

I went there with 7 other work mates I ordered the soft she'll crab and special fried rice everyone else got there food and had eaten it when I was still waiting then the waiter gave me my rice that I had ordered then she told me they had no crab why didn't they tell me when I ordered my meal I got the rice for free won't be back poor service

Mmm - Chels Kitchen

The Chefs Kitchen is an Italian styled bistro in the rsl. Absolutely great meals, service and pricing. The pizzas are just fantastic. A must if you are in the area
