Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great local spot with delicious food. Decor inside is really stunning, there are little homewares to look at and buy. Food options were all excellent, as was service and facilities. A+

Still great food and coffee. Has well and truly been found so you can’t be in a hurry but seasonal menu, as always is amazing. Very generous portions, local produce and delicious. As always service is also very welcoming. Keep up the amazing work.

Stopped in just for coffee and our flat whites were spot on. Best coffee in the Tamar Valley by far. Highly recommended. The menu looked great too but we didn’t order this time.

Great food, very cute cafe. Friendly staff. The home-made granola is spectacular. He had the Paddock to Plate big breakfast and was very happy. He's hard to impress but gives it 8/10, which is probably equivalent to 9.5!

Truly the best coffee in the Tamar Valley and among the top 5 in Tassie … plus the breakfast/brunch food is amazing. Mixing the usual favs with exotic ingredients that work well together. Plus, if you are not a coffee drinking they have a great...range of teas and chains etc. thoroughly recommend if you are anywhere near Exeter/the Tamar valley wine tail … and its even worth a pleasant drive from Launceston along the Tamar.More

Good at "Go small and do well". I've done a review about The Cabin, Exeter, once previously some time back. At that time, I gave it a great review. Since then, I have been back many times and yet to be disappointed. The staff are...always cheerful and always have a smile on their faces. I have always found them to be 'on the ball' and you never seem to have too long to wait for your order to arrive. The Cabin seems to specialise in having a small menu, but what it does have on it, it does well. I have never been disappointed in the quality of the food and drinks supplied. There is always a steady custom going through which shows just how popular it is as it seems to work on the premise "provide a good service and a good product and the custom will look after itself" which is so true in this case.More

We went so looking forward to a Sunday breakfast of eggs & pancakes but sadly there was none. Apparently those are not being served at present. Very disappointed. We had to settle for croissants out of the grab & go area. The food was okay...but not really what we wanted on a leisurely Sunday morning. When the full breakfasts come back so will we.More

Hey, we were without a chef for a week. We have one now. Apologies for the disappointment, it wasn't really in our hands.

Four of us visited The Cabin for breakfast when travelling through Exeter. We all had different dishes. All were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Coffee was great as well. We did sit around the back which needs a little bit of attention but still pleasant....I've come home wanting to replicate the cereal to use up my Lemon Curd it was so good!More

Yum! Just had the most delicious granola bowl and falafel bowl. Couldn’t decide what to have so we shared. Service was fantastic, even came out to check we were enjoying our meals and accommodated our fussy kids. Also a beautiful little spot to sit off...the main road. Wish we had this a cafe near us at home, I’d be a regular!More

We’d heard this place was good but wanted to see for ourselves. We were not disappointed. You would hardly notice it in the small town of Exeter, Tasmania, but it is worth hunting out. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, interesting, and engaging. The (brunch), food was...delicious and cooked just right. The coffee was delicious – had to have a second one. A sign says they source many products locally, and when questioned, they know exactly who provides what on their menus. Lots of seating areas too – out front, inside, and the lovely sheltered sun trap in the back yard. Phoebe and the crew there are “all good”. CateMore
