I've lived in the neighborhood for 9 years. Every now and again I stop in to give this place another chance and every single time I'm disappointed. Main problem is usually the service- which is pretty much always terrible, if not downright rude. The coffee is lackluster, the food is nothing special but prices are on par with an expensive... This is my first choice for pourover coffees in 55406. I usually can't resist a Monster Cookie either. The lunch menu is small but solid. Come to think of it, that describes the actual restaurant as well. It's cozy, with seating indoors and out. There are spaces for laptops and a couch for conversation. It's definitely the coffee that keeps... More

I like coffee and visit several different coffee shop in the city, I had lattes in many different coffee shops and their problems were that they put 1/4 liquid (milk and coffee) and 3/4 foam in the cup. So basically I drink foam instead of latte. Then I came to fireroast coffee, I was so glad they made real lattes!... More

Love this neighborhood hangout! Great coffee, atmosphere, food. In the middle of the Longfellow neighborhood, easy to get to.

We stopped for dinner after a visit to the falls. It is a nice little coffee shop on the corner. The inside is small with mainly two person tables or booths and window seating with bar stools. In order to accomodate 5 we took 2 tables (one with chairs and one with single booth seats on each end) and added... More

The coffee and food here is fine but the owner is rude and service is often slow. My spouse has had a few experiences with the owner when he barely spoke to her while serving her, made rude comments when she asked him to either fill the mug to the top or asked him to leave room for cream. He... More

Wanted to catch a quick bite while close to Minehaha Park. Firriest was an easy drive and a great experience. They were most accommodating our requests -- for instance, the rosemary romano chicken salad normally is served on a croissant, however, they were willing to put it on their 8-grain bread. They converted their roast turkey panini to a cold... More

I had a lovely salad here - it was a special. Entree sized and delicious. They serve Sebastian Joes ice cream on the east side of town! Also you can get several sizes of ice cream scoop including kiddie. The atmosphere is inviting and clean. The menu is clearly posted; the baked goods look wonderful and yummy. I will be... More

I make it a point to swing in and grab a cup of joe along with a scone. The baked goods are out of this world! Highly recommend!
