Unbelievable scotch list. Organized by region, by alphabet (with detailed tasting notes), by flights within regions. So easy to use from the various views, so comprehensive. Staff extremely knowledgeable. Others' food looked and smelled good (we didn't eat). Will definitely go back, even though... Doesn't get a 5 due to the pervasive sour "pub" smell, that unlike smells where you... More

Had lunch with the wife a few days ago, we both had the fish and chips and we both liked it a lot. They have a nice selection of Whiskey and beers. The price is about what you would expect for an Irish Bar, fish and chips was $10.95 and beer were about $5.50. We will definitely go back, the... More

We stopped in for some food and drinks. We lucked out as there was some live Irish music. Great beverage list, got to try something I've never heard of and it was great! Appetizers were delicious!

Tasty food, typical of Irish pub fare. I've had a variety of dishes and sides here, always good, never great. They have good music on Fridays and Saturdays.

Lamb chops were the appetizer the night we were there EARLY. A new idea, we sure hope they keep it up: 4 chops for $9 and were delicious with wonderful flavoring. Back up--you may have driven by the place. No curb appeal; in fact, try to find it. You can easily drive by unless it's summer and people are eating... More

Stopped by with 4 guys after the Badger vs. Gopher hoops at Williams arena. Consensus was possibly best fish and chips in town!! Served traditional British Style, with malt vinegar wrapped in wax newspaper. Good portion for $10.50. Fries good too and nice pub atmosphere.

Not as large or well-appointed as Brits or 'authentic' as one of those pubs imported lock stock and barrel from Ireland, Merlin's is the closest thing there is in Minneapolis to a real British pub. Its authenticity stems not from the furnishings, but the comfortable atmosphere, great food and drink, and engaging culture. Anglophiles will find a home-away-from-home here. Best... More

Great atmosphere, friendly wait staff, and a good selection of English based food. Not a bad night. Add to that about 12 pages of Whiskey's and Scotches and you've got an evening of entertainment! .

Nice neighborhood bar and fun place to eat. My husband and I stopped in after the Ryder Cup and the service was friendly and good. They had some fun choices for food Irish, English and some American. The food was good not necessarily great. My husband had one of the meat pies and thought it was very good. I had... More
