OMG, is the best way to describe the food here. There were five of us and we all came at different times, but our waitress was nonplussed and did an amazing job, also refilling our water glasses frequently. We had a walleye melt (probably not the best place for that), a fruit pancake, home fries, Cajun home fries with chicken... More

I met a friend here for dinner, and started with a Bells Two Hearted($7) before ordering the Rachel($12) with fries. It was a bit chilly in the restaurant despite their multi door winter entry. The food was fantastic and the organic rye bread had a perfect amount of crisp with out being overy buttery and the firecracker slaw and coleslaw... More

By far the best restaurant in Uptown, if not Minneapolis. Artfully crafted dishes for all tastes. Craft cocktail from the Bluestem Bar are worth their price and their wine and beer selection is robust and affordable. Service is very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. We went to celebrate a 30th birthday and were not disappointed. We will be back very soon!

For more than two decades French Meadow has been our favorite restaurant anywhere in the Twin Cities with its consistently delicious, healthy and organic food, including wonderful vegan options. We love the green curry vegetables with tofu, vegan breakfast, tempeh reuben, vegan pancakes and spa salad.

I had the corn blueberry pancake, bacon and orange juice. The Pancake was not great. It was very heavy and I had to ask for extra syrup because it was so dense. The bacon was good and the orange juice was good. It was pricy but that's to be expected for a place that is all organic/healthy ect...probably wouldn't go... More

We searched out vegan places, and this one looked like it would be the best, so we gave it a shot! I ordered the veggie burger, which was outstanding, and my wife had the Almond encrusted Walleye, which she also raved about. It was such a nice meal, we came back for breakfast the next morning, which also was memorable!

After a week of "not so good food" choices, this place makes it very easy to chose healthy, but tasty food. I had the chicken sandwich on cranberry bread. The chicken was moist and free from fat. Also on it was a slice of Provolone cheese; on the side was a big salad with dressing. I knew I'd be in... More

Dined here on New Years Eve. What a nightmare, worst service. It wasn't even busy when we arrived and it took forever to be greeted. I can forgive bad service when it's busy or people are apologetic. But bad service with an attitude is a no go for me! Had to get up out of our seats several times for,... More

Went here with a party of 8 and the service was amazing! The restaurant was busy but that didn't hinder our waitress. Great selection of seafood and meat meals.

Fun casual setting for excellent food. We love the fish tacos or tempeh Reuben's. Bakery is excellent.

Description
Welcome to the first Certified Organic Bakery in the USA! French Meadow began baking organic yeast-free bread in 1985. On the forefront of healthy, organic baking, we opened the popular Uptown cafe in the early 1990's by customer demand, and have been serving healthful gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, local, organic and natural foods ever since. With the growing demand for fresh and innovative food, we were able to expand the cafe in 2013 to include Bluestem Bar, offering full table service, a selection of sustainable wines and local taps, and a private dining room.
