We get up early and drive 23 miles just to get the warm decadent donuts that they make here. The lines are a testament to the yummy treats you get here. Our favorites include the American tea cake and the chocolate covered donuts. The staff is happy and quick to serve you too. Enjoy!!

I ordered Carrot Cake for dessert at Buster's ( next door) delicious. The piece was large, I shared with my dinner companion and still had some left to take home.

We were in Minneapolis and I had looked up this place looking for good donuts that wouldn't be like 10 dollars a donut like the designer donuts all around town. We stopped in and there was a line which was great because it gave us time to take in all the different options. We didn't end up getting donuts but... More

Just amazing, even ignoring the outrageously reasonable prices. Fantastic cake donuts (cinnamon and cherry), croissants that could be made in Paris, American tea cakes and Mankato butter cakes that are so rich they're criminal. If you want the best breakfast in the world, get a ham croissant with a cup of their good coffee. Pick up a loaf of bread... More

always busy and the best donuts in town or any place, fresh and friendly service. If you get there early the crowd is usually large and you have to wait, but well worth it

Thick chewy sugar infused dough? Check. Crusty, sticky exterior? Check. Gooey, pull-apart insides? Check. Hydrogenated oil? Probably. Almost zero things "good for you"? Check, but what a way to go! I'm talking about the Baker's Wife Tea Cake. I really don't ever get anything else here. Now when I picture a "tea cake" in my mind, I visualize some kind... More

Yes, all the fabulous reviews and stars are true. Bring your cash (no cards accepted), your appetite and go. Get a coffee at the fabulous bike place next door and then sit at one of the tables and enjoy life around you.

Every other month, I need several dozen donuts for participants in a weekend class. I've tried a lot of different bakeries and I keep coming back to A Baker's Wife for several reasons: First, their cake donuts are wonderful--soft, warm, fresh, and yummy. They're also a bargain--50 cents for plain/sugared, 54 cents with icing and sprinkles. The varieties on hand... More

There is a good reason why there is always a line in the morning at this bakery! They have a wide variety of treats and breads. We love the plain old cinnamon and sugar donuts and nut goodie bars the best. Good stuff!

We received a gift certificate to A Baker's Wife and 29 miles into a bike ride with 20 left to go we stopped into A Baker's Wife for a treat. The tea biscuit was amazing, yummy and delicious and I can't wait to return and see what else they have!
