Visited this diner today. Very pleasant staff. It is tiny so you might wait for just a few minutes for a table to open up if they are busy. Breakfast food was good and came relatively fast considering how busy it was. This is a true diner atmosphere with the cooks and staff always visible. Only complaint was that the... More

This is an old school diner, and it looked like a fun place for breakfast. We love finding places like this on our travels so we were looking forward to an awesome meal. Unfortunately, the blueberry pancakes were nothing more than bland pancakes with a dollop of blueberry pie filling on top. The veggie omelet had canned mushrooms and canned... More

This cafe doesn't look like much from the outside but the service is good and the food is excellent! I'm really glad we tried it and highly recommend it for breakfast!

The food was good. Standard American fare. We ordered mushroom Swiss burger, bacon cheese burger, and club sandwich, all with fries, and a taco salad. Nothing was bad. I kind of expected country music in a place named Wagon Wheel, but it wasn't. Our bill for 4 meals was under $35. Not super cheap prices but not too high.

So glad the Wagon wheel is back and Xtra glad the name remains! Stopped in this morning and had an awesome breakfast burrito! Four of us shared some home baked, reminds me of grandma's, bread pudding! Yum. Thanks for keeping this gem, the same. Mankato isn't the same without it!

Just a great hole-in-the-wall type of place. Food is excellent, cheap and ridiculous-sized portions. GO!

Lunch stop here were I tried the hamburger with tater tots which was very good. Waitress was not very good but she also was completely alone. They were also out of Pepsi. How does that happen. Definitely need to replace the carpet and there are no more jute boxes

Cheap eats. Authentic old diner. Didn't have to recreate anything cuz this is how it was 30 years ago, too! Eggs bacon toast or pancakes for breakfast? Good old fashioned cheeseburger? Just regular size? This is your place. So glad new owners took over and didn't change much. Menu could be expanded, tho--wish they'd make some decent soup-- tastes like... More

Fun place to go! Good food! Fair price. Have to pay with cash or check. You seat yourself. Service was quick even when it was busy. Staff was polite!

We ate at this cafe because it was within walking distance of our hotel in downtown Mankato. It is a very small diner style cafe... narrow and long! You almost trip over people trying to get to your table, and it is a good idea to sit towards the front of the diner as the restrooms are in the rear... More

The Wagon Wheel Cafe has been a Mankato staple for over 65 years. It has recently reopened with new management. It is a casual diner with low prices. This is a great place to take the family out to eat and not break the bank.
