Last minute dinner search resulted in us finding this unique restaurant. Ordered the lobster mac and cheese and liver and onions and both were fantastic. Strawberry chicken salad was also very good. Would definitely visit again the next time we are in town. Miss Halee was attentive and provided excellent service.

Super-friendly bar staff. Meal was tasty. Even with two kids' hockey teams being served at the same time of my visit, it wasn't chaotic. They even had a pinball and Ms. Pac Man machine! They could use a coat rack or hooks under the bar. Only hole in the script. Definitely would return.

Food is very good. The place is north on hwy. 371(frontage rood, on west side of 371). Usually pretty busy.

Let me preface this review by saying I am a huge foodie, from the cities, and have high standards for dining out. LOVED this place! Atmosphere and service: We went around 5 for an early dinner, and it was surprisingly fairly hoppin, for a weeknight in the winter. Atmosphere was clean and comfortable, and I love the "woodsy" feel. Simple,... More

Eat here on a regular basis. Moderately priced, exceptional food, friendly service. Dave and his crew are always welcoming. This is one of our favorite eating establishments in the lakes area

We are always pleased with our food and service at Black Bear - one of our favorites! This has been a favorite of ours for many years - they have had a very good brunch on Sundays which our family enjoyed!

Service is on par with A little beyond entry-level servers. I ate ribs although I was tempted to have a steak. They were tasty and tender. My business partner ordered a steak and gave me a taste. It was well prepared and tasty. The server kept forgetting a condiment and it took a few times of passing by to actually... More

Both the bar and dining areas of this restaurant have an "up north" log cabin look. The service is pleasant and the good is good, but not cheap. I had a large walleye sandwich ($13.99). I asked for fruit instead of chips and this cost another $2.00. Also, the walleye was large, too large for the bun. I ditched the... More

All I wanted to do was grab a bite to eat and watch Game 1 of the World Series. What I got was so much better...wings, really, really, really good wings. Fried. Sauced. Grilled. Delicious. I had them Buffalo style and so should you.
