A lovely place to explore with family. We loved seeing the chickens, emu and alpacas. The little cafe on site was picturesque and charming. Highly recommend when in Daylesford

Terrible place. Been before and it was great.nowfeels run down. Even gardens look sad. Had scones at Cafe and they tasted like they were days old. Very very stale, so dry they crumbled and fell apart. Worst scones ever. Shouldn't be looked to serve old...scones. The cream was barely whipped and the jam...it was liquid.. really liquid. What an awful experience. Overall won't be backMore

Lovely place to visit on a cool day. Cheap entry fee and nice gift shop. We took a picnic lunch but also tried the lavender scones, icecream & champagne. Ideal for a short relaxing time.

Perfect spot for a summer picnic and ice cream. We brought camping chairs and found a shady spot under a tree. The gardens are amazing, especially the big trees.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but the wife wanted to see lavender and my kids were excited that they were emus. The visit ended out being an absolute blast. The ice cream was yummy and the scones were nice (even though I’m not a huge...fan of lavender). But the highlight was the picturesque grounds and the friendly emu that loved eating apples (that are every on the ground). At the car park the final thrill was the trestle bridge.More

Friendly. Value for money. $5 per adult. We spent 2 hrs cruising around the gardens. Including magnificent lavender scones and Italian toastie. Super cheap for what you get. And delicious. Dog friendly. No poos either!! Lavender was in full bloom. Lush grass. Plenty of parking...and opportunities for the kids and adults to get fancy with photos.More

We visited daylesford for the weekend, and my cousin found this little gem on our way back to Melbourne .. we stopped here for a mooch and look around, what a hidden gem, very pretty, two lovely cafes, also serving freshly made pizzas made in...a pizza oven outside! A couple of emus, llamas so Guinea fowl scratching around next to us, lots of butterflies fluttering around the lavender and some sleepy geese resting in the sun! A pretty creek, and lively shop selling natural soaps. Oils, lavender and other gifts! Highly recommend for a relaxing hour or two, dogs on leash welcome tooMore

Been in Daylesford so many times, but never heard about Lavender farm. Had a visitor from Europe and decided to check what to see around. "Found" this beautiful place full of history and great nature. Great place for picnic or to visit a restaurant on...the farm with homemade products. Very clean, enjoyable, peaceful place. Great tour around the old house (recall memories from similar European places/villages) and fantastic customer service. Nice to spend hour or two, just walking around or have a coffee, or lunch. Gift shop was pricey, but it is normal for regional little shops around Victoria.More

Came all the way from Melbourne, as interstate tourists, on the basis of what I saw on the website. So disappointing! Rather than “Lavender Farm” it is more accurately “Lavender Couple of Fields”. After paying $12 totes for the family to enter, youngest child was...given some grapevines to apparently feed the cow we never saw, and the couple of emus weren’t in the slightest interested. While the rest of the family wandered the couple of fields, I nabbed a table at the trattoria and joined the line. Only problem was the line never moved an inch in 20mins, absolutely no system appeared in place for the placing and taking of orders in a timely manner. It would have been over an hour long ordeal just to have a few coffees, so we abandoned that and decided to exit the place via the gift shop. This was nothing special, loaded with stuff we’d seen in other shops. Even the lavender bunches were pricey, $6 ea. Overall a waste of time and entry fee, for what? The best part was the bridge at the entry, prior to the entry fee being asked for.More

Visited here yesterday, found lots of the lavender dead, and none in flower, to be expected I suppose ,considering the flooding and spring deluge that’s been occurring ! Lunch was something else, both meals disappointing, pasta bolognaise and salad nicoise. The service was something else,...so bad I thought we had accidentally gone on a day featuring a Fawlty Towers send up performance. Ordered a beer and a sparkling wine, they arrived separately, and the wine order was wrong, waitress initially refused to return the wine, saying I should take it up with the manager, I did and things were sorted. Warning, the Lavender sparkling should be added to the poisons list! The waiting staff, who strongly resemble Manuel from Barcelona, served one plate at a time, each time returning to the kitchen and bringing out another single plate of food ! An appalling but darkly amusing experience !More

Beautiful location, well maintained (during a difficult season). The homestead tour was succinct, informative, and light. Great location for lunch with all the staff we encountered competent, warm and helpful. The food was well priced, tasty and homely. I really enjoyed a lavender infused gin...and tonic. Highly recommend for that relaxed day trip or side adventure. Thank you for a cherished time. Spent a bit too much in the shop full of great little lavender gift ideas!More

Came for scones and coffee, scones came out cold without sufficient jam or cream. Should have been more generous. We waited 30 minutes for tea and coffee and had finished our scones before it arrived.
