While visiting Traverse City we took ourselves on a little brewery tour and Mackinaw Brewing was our first stop! The beer was great and service even better. Our bartender was very nice and knowledgeable!

Great service, great location, great beer and, although we only had an appetizer, all of the food flying by our table looked amazing! We will definitely go back.

Tried two times to come here and ended up leaving because the place was understaffed and couldn't get served. Came back a third time because we heard French onion soup was a had to have. Luckily got a seat at the bar and way better experience. Decent beer, good service this time around and yes soup was fantastic!

Had their teriyaki salmon and baked sweet potato and it was delicious. What a great meal and great service. Located right on the river with a gorgeous view of the Bay. Worth a stop when in Traverse City.

My husband and I went to this restaurant a couple years ago, and had the whitefish, a dinner we enjoyed so much, that we couldn't wait to go back. My husband literally told everyone he knew how good it was. We also had their specialty appetizer, the Havarti Dill Cheesesticks, and they were incredible. So on our trip to Traverse... More

Mackinaw is my "Cheers" pub in TC, especially on $2 Tuesdays for mug clubbers. Bartenders are solid and servers keep the moderate cost food and drinks coming nicely. The food menu offers many options; favorites include hearty salads, wood-smoked meats (wings/brisket/pork/sampler), walleye and whitefish meals, and daily specials. The owner is a chef. Beer menu offers a few nice options;... More

My go to TC restaurant when I know I want fried fish. Perch, walleye or whitefish are all great. Nice beers plus samplers. BBQ is OK. Burgers and salads are good.

The beer selection is great and the smoke meat sandwiches are excellent. It is not a New York Rueben but it a very enjoyable smoked Rueben

Their version of an olive burger was to top an undercooked beef patty with a pile of chopped olives. Our waitress never brought us silverware or drink refills. In fact, the next time we saw her was when she presented the bill.

Eaten here a few times, with friends and then with kids. Always a wait since it is so good. Love to eat here. Good, quality burgers, all American Food. If you like beer, they do have a good selection.
