I wanted to eat somewhere that has roots in Traverse. This restaurant is the longest running restaurant in Traverse city, established 1885. Typical pub food, burgers, perch and lots of appetizers. We enjoyed our stop, off to bike along the shore!

Both my husband and I remembered this place from previous visits. Nice selection of beer. Good wet burrito and nachos. I've had better meals but the atmosphere is hard to beat and the food was good. Outside of, though not far from, downtown.

Came here for an early dinner. Two of us shared a Sleder burger and an appetizer. The burger was a bit overcooked, but it was still juicy and good. The app was broccoli and cheese bites, which were decent.

This is a great neighborhood bar. Definitely worth a visit. The decor is rustic and vintage. It definitely reflects the history of the place. The beer was cold and the food was great.

Stopped by Sleder's Family Tavern for lunch and found out that it was founded in 1882 and has been open since then. We split a special hamburger and my husband added a bowl of clam chowder. The burger did something many can't -- the outside...More

As everyone should know by now, Sleder's is the oldest restaurant in Michigan; and that means they have been doing everything right for over a century -- since 1882, in fact! Obviously, I wasn't there at the beginning, but if the food and hospitality was...More

Been a few years since we last visited. Decided to stop for lunch. Got the welders burger, wife got chicken fingers. Both came with homemade fries. Both were good but the burger could have used more seasoning. Good selection of beer. Oldest family run restaurant...More
