A local friend insisted I stop in to get some garlic cheddar. I also got a pretzel and their coconut cake also. Everything we tried was delicious.

Breads and desserts are wonderful. Lunch and pizzas are good too. Oftentimes I find myself standing at the counter without being acknowledged/waited on, though there is staff behind counter, that's really the only downfall of VB. Don't plan on a "quick" lunch.

We had a wonderful lunch here. They even have a full service bar. After lunch we took a few cookies back to our hotel for an evening snack. Everything tasted homemade and we loved it!

Visited today for a birthday lunch with my friend Harmina. Oh My Goodness. Seriously fantastic. Very cool decor, excellent service by Katie, out of this world food! I enjoyed half of the Turkey Bacon Brushetta and a cup of Manhattan Clam Chowder, because Manhattan Clam Chowder isn't usually offered and the Village Baker's is done superbly. Harmina had the Reuben... More

We have been here many times, and the pizzas are great. The service and wait times are not always good...........10 minutes + to be served two beers, then 35 minutes for a pizza to come out, 5 minutes later the featured mac and cheese, then 5 minutes after that the side salad that went with the mac and cheese. This... More

We hadn't been in for awhile and we're completely and very pleasantly surprised at all the updates and changes in the last year. The food has always been wonderful. The Bakery is top notch! Now to our surprise they have added a full service hometown bar with excellent pizza and cocktails. Perfect spot for a Friday night beverage with hubby... More

Ok so technically I was not there but one of my vendors brought us pretzels from here. They were awesome. This place is a 40 min drive from me and I am going to make the trip just for more of these pretzels.

Not a very welcoming place, took over ten minutes to get menus, rude workers, my muffin was not cooked all the way so it was raw and doughy. Go somewhere else, small businesses should be friendly especially with all the competition.

We live in nearby Grand Haven. We received a promotional flyer in the mail, otherwise we would not have known this was not a "donut and bread" bakery! The pizzas sounded interesting, and at a good price, so we ordered 2. I got the Bakers Daughter, and my wife ordered the Rustico. Wow! They were wonderful! We plan to try... More

Dined here on a weeknight with my elderly cousin and my wife. I had a reuben that was not good at all. My wife liked the atmosphere and my cousin paid but it was not enough to convince me to like it.
