Excellent food - do not miss the amazing Whole Grain Pancakes, the Egg Scrambles, the perfect Bacon, or, if you arrive at 11:00AM, you can have one of their salad specials, or a BLT. One note - cash only, but well worth it!

Looked forward to breakfast since we haven't been in awhile. Had 3 first timers in Saugatuck. Since there were 8 of us and we wanted to walk around town, we decided to eat here. We usually eat breakfast in Douglas because this is a popular place and we don't want to wait long. Today we had a short wait and... More

I have seen this restaurant before, but had never stopped. It is cute inside and out, friendly staff, homemade muffins, and the BEST French Toast! I will return! Cash only, no credit cards.

The service was great, the food was excellent. Everything is made from scratch. Servings are huge. If you aren't in a hurrry, Idas is a great place to go and linger over coffee and great food.

Note: I'm rating the restaurant based on todays experience only. We have enjoyed year round breakfasts for over a decade at this place. The service is usually great and the food is too. Today was a dramatic exception. A rude (and lazy) waitress made us do an about face and leave the place before we even sat down. I'm writing... More

Came here in August 2016. There was a long line and a 30-45 minute wait at 8am on a Saturday, but we decided to wait. SO worth the wait. The breakfast was seriously so good. Bacon cooked perfectly. Omelettes were fabulous. Coffee was amazing. I could go on. This is a quaint little breakfast place with indoor and outdoor seating.... More

The line tells you everything you need to know. This is the place for breakfast in Saugatuck. Everything was really good, especially their muffins. You can't go wrong here.

Service is stellar while the food is killer. Egg scramblers, potatoes & pancakes were great. Large portions, too. Their homemade muffins are served hot and are delicious.

Great breakfast place; limited seating; fresh tasty food.. Homemade muffins both sweet and savory; steamed eggs, great bacon, good toast.

Since 1986, Ida Red's Cottage has been serving Made-from-scratch breakfasts and lunches, year 'round. Our little place is a busy one, and our kind of cooking takes time, so expect to have to wait, sometimes a long time, during the summer season.
