When you are hungry on a cold spring day, and your Mom isn't around to make you some Chicken Pot Pie, then The Grand Traverse Pie Company is your stop. Besides Chicken Pot Pies, they also have the normal selection of pies from pumpkin to apple, but its the comfort food on those cold East Lansing days.

OK, but could be better. Coffee, service, and most foods are good. I find the signature attraction - pies - disappointing. They are not very big around, but they're thin. Most fillings are just flavored jelly with bits of whatever kind of pie it was supposed to be. Coffee and pastries are very enjoyable!

We are pie lovers and were enticed by this restaurants title. We did stop for a meal as well, the sandwiches and soups were good choices, it was nice you could pick different options. And we were not disappointed in the main features-the pie was excellent. We had different slices, they were great choices, very well baked, excellent fruit toppings,... More

I had a wonderful bowl of chili and an apple turnover for lunch. Both were very tasty. The staff was very friendly, however the cashier moved on to the next customer (two or three times that I saw) before completing our transaction. For example, I ordered, he gave me my cup for my drink, I paid, but then he moved... More

I was here for dinner with friends. The atmosphere is nice and casual. The food was pretty good, but the pie was awesome! The staff is friendly and generally attentive. They have a nice variety on their menu, so there is something for everyone. I will come back again.

Nice place for a quick lunch. Nothing fancy but very good. Pie is the best, including the pot pies. Salads and sandwiches are good but not great.

Went there for a late lunch. Soups, salads, sandwiches. Bread for the sandwich was tough and stale, with minimal ingredients between the slices of bread, making it very dry. Soup was tasty, seasoned nicely. Cream pie was good. I'd go back for pie, but not for anything else.

The quiche is really really good! Selections change daily. Obviously their pies are fantastic. They also are great handling a lunch rush.

Yummy fresh pies of all varieties are sold by the slice, mini pies and whole pies. They also have many lunch items. We each had a piece of cherry crumble pie. Exceptional crust and lots of Traverse Area cherries. My only criticism is that we stood waiting quite awhile after we ordered before someone came to fill our order. I don't... More

I remember when GTPC was "the" place to go for breakfast, lunch or dessert anytime. Must admit, things have changed. First, they need to use clean soapy wayer when they wash their tables. I abhor sitting at a sticky table AFTER it has been cleaned. Second, they are not keeping up with the Jonses...Panera has it all over these folks... More

The Okemos pie shop opened in November 2000. The shop is located in the upscale Meridian Crossing Development near Stillwater Grill and Starbucks. The owners like that the GT Pie Co. Has a family feel, rather than a corporate feel. A comfortable atmosphere awaits customers who come in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, gourmet coffee, take-home food, or just for dessert. Easy jazz is played during the day to help make your time at the pie shop more enjoyable. We have specialty items like grilled sandwiches, pot pies, quiches, and gourmet salads. We have frozen 9" and 6" pot pies available for home baking. Call ahead or ask when you stop in and we can have salad and soup ready for your take-home lunch or dinner. Don't forget about our dessert menu that includes Gourmet Pie (fruit and cream), cookies, muffins, apple turnovers, apple dumplings, brownies, lemon bars, and carrot cake, to name a few.
