I have been stopping here for about 30 years now. used to live in the area but only get back annually. I took the family of five on a Wednesday night about 6 pm. We were seated immediately in the inside area. The waitress was attentive and friendly. 2 of us tried a local brew, which was as described. We... More

This plaice is usually a staple for us. Although I must admit, I do not think it was as good this time as a year ago. The burgers seemed smaller, and the cheese not as much. It was crowded, so maybe just an off nite. The waitress was OK. She seemed bothered a bit to wait on us. We had... More

Great place for meeting up with friends and family reasonably priced, unique and campy. Great tradition here and a great location near Lake Michigan. If you are going to the lake or casino (Four Winds) you should stop by here. The burgers are made with velveta cheese and they are very good. The onion rings are also very good. The... More

The food was decent but I wouldn't say anything spectacular. My husband and I both got the legend burger and ordered them as doubles after recommendations from the waitress. A single would have been PLENTY. The burgers were good but not fantastic and they didn't ask how we wanted them cooked. They seem to just operate under the "medium-well" umbrella.... More

My family will never understand the reputation enjoyed by Redamaks. You would think that it is impossible to get a decent burger in Chicago (which is where most of the customers seem to be from.) Why do we lower our standards when we travel? Is it because we have promised our children they will get burgers and fries if they... More

I live in Chicago but am from Michigan and on my trips home and to my cottage, I always stop at Redamaks. This place reminds me of the hamburgers we grilled at my cottage in the summers while I was growing up. The velveeta burger is my favorite. They always cook the burgers perfectly and the wait staff is always... More

Redamak's is a well known hamburger place with a lot of noise and long waiting line. Yes the hamburgers are good but not worth waiting in line for. The Stray Dog has vetter burgers and much better atmosphere. Good place if you don't have to wait but basically just a hamburger joint.

It had been YEARS, I mean YEARS since I'd eaten here last. I was floored at how much bigger the place was. It was early in the season and yet still packed to the gills though we were seated right away and didn't wait long for a waitress or for our food. I can't imagine going during peak season though....
