We have been to Courses several times now, and have always had a very nice meal and good service. The staff consists of students of the culinary school at Baker College, and they are always very attentive. The whole experience is like dinner at a fine dining establishment with linen tablecloths, and a very interesting menu. We often visit for... More

Courses is the "teaching" restaurant for the Culinary Institute of Michigan, which means it's only open when classes are in session, so be sure to check the web site for status. We were there for lunch, and had food that was well-prepared, tasty, and presented at cordon bleu levels. And, they have a full bar and good wine list. if... More

Everything we had was delicious especially the soft crab sandwich, blueberry vinaigrette salad and the desserts. Homemade rolls & bread were also very good. Our server, Robert P. was very professional.

This is a wonderful place to eat in the downtown area. Monday thru Friday, only when school is in session, so check on line before you go. You can also check the constantly changing menu, and make a reservation on line. Ask about the French sodas too, ummmmm! We think iit is romantic fun. On special occasions, but not wine... More

No tipping is necessary. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. These are all students serving and cooking under supervision of course. They try to do their very best and they usually succeed

My friend and I have eaten lunch here twice and both A+! The weekly trio specials are CRAZY priced at only $15.00 for 3 courses! Fried portabella mushrooms, frog legs, shrimp bruschetta and a seafood tortellini. Noodles were hand made and the lobster tail was better than the one I paid $39.00 for last week! Our waiter was visibly nervous... More

My husband and I were in town visiting via the ferry and I found this place online that seemed like the perfect place for a romantic dinner. It was right at the center of their little downtown area in Muskegon and a block from our hotel so it was perfect. The food was overall very good, the wait staff was... More

My boyfriend and I recently just moved to Big Rapids for school, and deciding to explore the surrounding area, we ended up in Muskegon. And to be honest, I wasn't impressed with Muskegon in general. That is, until I went to the Courses restaurant. All I can say is wow. My boyfriend and I each got a delicious pineapple aviator,... More

Courses is a beautiful restaurant, downtown Muskegon, clean, nicely decorated and welcoming, a working classroom staffed by students of the culinary school. The food was excellent, the presentation was awesome. Service was lacking just a bit but keep in mind the servers may be a beginner or an advanced student. Nice atmosphere and booths are extremely large and comfy. Every... More

Very upper class atmosphere, without the upper class price. Very classy dishes, full bar, and the waitstaff treat you like you are a VIP. Always come here at least twice every college semester to check out the new menus.

Thank Steve W
