A lovely address in Ribeauvillé, this establishment called Au Relais des Ménétriers. The fiddlers were itinerant village violinists who also escorted weddings and who went from inn to inn from the Middle Ages to the end of the 18th century.
A table with local cuisine, traditional but not too much because also sometimes creative, offered by Claudine and Patrick Serreau for I believe around thirty years since they settled in town in 1992. Chef Patrick having worked in beautiful houses such as the Père Bise inn in Talloires.
A pretty, large room with well-spaced tables in a modern and refined setting, but still warm with its Easter decorations on the ceiling. In another section, a second room probably for busy times.
The menus and dishes adapt with the seasons, depending on the fresh products offered at the market. The Bib Gourmand Menu at 38 euros is a real bargain, knowing that it includes dishes from the menu and your choice. This will therefore be this menu and also other dishes on the menu.
As a welcome, a very pleasant appetizer based on smoked trout.
A starter with two “grandmother’s” casserole eggs with nuggets of pan-fried duck foie gras. The eggs are cooked a bit like the “perfect egg” so soft-boiled, the liver is perfectly fried, all accompanied by a piece of bread toasted with butter.
A very good farmhouse poultry terrine from Alsace with roasted hazelnuts, dried fruits, small seasonal salad. Also a little raw sauerkraut in salad.
For the main course, fish with large zander goujonnettes with white asparagus, broad beans, Alsace crémant sauce. It’s fish fillet cut into perfectly cooked sticks, the sauce is light, the vegetables add a touch of spring.
Another fish, here from the menu, a braised haddock fillet, creamy risotto with trumpets of death, butter emulsified with lemon and mustard seeds. In the same spirit as the other dish, namely lightness and the fish cooked perfectly.
A lovely dessert which is a house specialty, a pavlova with mango confit, a very soft lime meringue. A dessert, fresh, crispy and soft, based on French meringue, but light and fruity.
As a wine, a Riesling Vieilles Vignes Domaine Jean Sipp 2020, a nose with notes of white fruits: vine peach and lemon. A lively and frank attack. A full, crunchy, fruity palate with a tangy finish.
A truly justified Bib Gourmand, a quality service, a stop not to be missed in Ribeauvillé.

By chance passed this very simple and clearly furnished restaurant and immediately reserved a table for the same evening. Very stylish, tasteful atmosphere. Very accommodating service and great ambience. The food was very, very delicious! The 3-course daily menu was very cheap and you can really speak of a very good price-performance ratio there. We were immediately in love with the concept. Would definitely stay again!

A very nice discovery in Ribeauvillé, a little away from the tourist center.
We took the Bib menu for €38: appetizers, starter (shrimp skewer on a bed of melon), main course (meat and fish respectively, both with well-chosen seasonal vegetables and above all a sauce to die for) and dessert ( local cheeses and pavlova around raspberries).
The dishes were tasty, beautifully presented and very well proportioned to be enjoyed until dessert.
The service was very friendly in a quiet setting. Note a fine choice of wines, local and others, including by the glass.

Bib menu at €38, excellent value for money.
A velouté with great taste, impeccably cooked fish, a fine selection of cheeses. Our best gastronomic experience in the region!
Well done !

Our first dinner in Ribeauville will take some beating! A short stroll from the Grande Rue brings one to a tastefully modern dining room, tables set well apart and decorated with pretty floral displays and highly covetable water glasses. Our greeting from Madame the hostess was friendly and service throughout was efficient, albeit sometimes slightly slow. From the delicious amuse-bouche to the dessert, the food was beautifully presented with strong but delicate flavours. My highlight was my starter of asparagus, morilles and pasta shells in a deeply tasty mushroom broth. A local Pinot Gris made a great accompaniment to the meal. The bill, including operations came to E160. Highly recommendable!

Michelin macarons certainly reflect the quality of the winning restaurants.
The BIBs are not served by chance either.
If the star standards are not met here (look of the room, no sommelier...) the service is perfect and the quality of the dishes is exceptional.
What can we say about the value for money if not to urge you to book without delay.

Very beautiful restaurant with very careful decoration. Both natural and combining old and modern with style.
The menu and the cuisine reflect the restaurant and its attentive staff.
It is quality cuisine with fresh and local products. This shows that it is still possible to offer hearty gourmet cuisine at a very reasonable price.
Congratulations and thank you for entertaining us.

Exceptional! We found the setting charming, with original and well-thought-out decor without fuss, and plenty of space between each table! The menu is quite refined unlike the restaurants in the center of Ribeauvillé, but very elaborate! Impeccable service, without a single false note! But to top it all off, succulent dishes full of little culinary touches during the meal! Honestly, very pleasantly surprised! We will come back, that's for sure! And the icing on the cake, reasonable prices for what was our wedding anniversary! All that remains is to taste the 2 jams!!!! Kimmich (wedding anniversary)

So far this is our favorite restaurant in Europe. While my husband ordered the set menu with venison stew, I ordered the steamed cod as a main dish and we shared the other sides. They also served a fantastic amuse bouche. All of the food was unique and tasty, especially the chantrelles and the dessert. The whole meal including an excellent bottle of wine was about 100 euros.

We were looking for French food, rather than Alsacian (no sauerkraut please) and this restaurant had excellent reviews. I made a mistake with my reservation but we got in for Sunday lunch. The hostess/owner? was extremely friendly and helpful.
I had the 4 course menu with the cod/risotto dish and my husband had the guinea fowl with chanterelles. Both were excellent but we both particularly enjoyed the cod. The tomatoes on top were the best tasting I ever had and really brought out the flavor of the cod and risotto. Although not part of the menu they brought us a very tasty seafood mouse type appetizer with some excellent bread. The rabbit foix gras which was part of the full menu was tasty and the melon was excellent. Instead of a local pinot noir I had the Cotes du Rhone which was perfect. For dessert we had a citron type mouse -- I think, with raspberry. Then we had coffee with the most amazing biscottis made by the chef. They were moist and so flavorful with little chunks of chocolate. Everything was perfect.

We have been to this highly recommended restaurant on the Avenue de General de Gaulle several times. As always, a nice (clear) selection of dishes, especially three-course meals. Excellent quality of the food, lovingly prepared with fresh ingredients. Good portions (not always typical for Michelin restaurants). Very friendly and good service. Excellent wines from the region! Reservations recommended at the weekend.

We visited here for lunch after our tasting at Trimbach Estate in Ribeauville. It is a short walk from the center to get to this restaurant, and well worth it. Each dish, whether meat or fish was perfectly cooked and presented with glistening sauces and jewel like vegetables so fresh, it seemed like they had just been picked that morning (they probably were). Each dessert was it's own little work of art and most were accompanied by home made ice creams or sherbet! They also have a lovely wine list, set menu or a la carte and best of all, all of the other diners were French speakers! Make sure that you make a reservation!

Everything is perfect: the welcome, the service, a pleasant setting, a very spacious room and even more, the food is of high quality and incomparable freshness.
Inventive cuisine without excessive decorum. In a word: perfection.
