Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The restaurant's location is wonderful, and the service was excellent but not the food. I was very dissapointed. The scampi I ate, were not fresh and the meal did not have the sea taste It should have had for a scampi buzara. It was not a...good scampi buzara; it had a thick sauce; and it is not how it is done. A portion of scampi costed 34 euro, a glass of wine (100ml) 5,97 euro, pommes frites 5,31, bread is extra paid- 0,53 pro portion. Couvert pro person is 1,73 euro. I got a tuna pate with toasted bread at the beginning which was good. Next time I would avoid the place; despite the great location and wonderful service; cause in the end it is about the foid, right? Especially with so high prices.More

We decided to see if we could get in as we hadn’t made a reservation. A waiter seated us as a family of five with a great view. Menus were passed out and then we waited. And waited. And waited. We waited so long to...even have our drinks order taken that by that point we decided to give up and go somewhere else. So I don’t know what the food tastes like but I do know a family of five (four adults and one child) walked out. If they’d given just two minutes to come over and take our drinks order we would have stayed for the food. Shame really.More

Terrible from the entery to the going home part. When we entered there was a full table of staff drinking coffe. Nobody said nothing, we said hello and they just looked at us like we were aliens. We asked if there is a spot for 2 people...for early dinner. They just opened a book of reservations and looked at it for five minutes until someone said sure and pointed us to our seat. We ordered our meal and everything was over salted. I got a steak of fish with a piece od lemon on a plate. The service was terrible. We left an entire meal because of a bad taste. And the service didnt even ask how was it. We payed and took off. Noone said godbye. Terrible. Never again.More

One word. Catastrophe. From entering to paying. Very unpleasant experience. Food was simply terrible. Salt salt and salt. My mouth was burning. Avoid if you know what is good food.

Seeing a still alive lobster put on the grill and watching the animal to move all body parts frantically to escape the flames was some of the most terrible experience I have ever had in an restaurant. Never ever again this place.

I’m essentially a regular here when I’m on the island. If anyone visits, it’s on the list. Anything and everything on the menu is good. I focus on the grilled items. My favorite and a Croatia visit must try is grilled squid or ligne na...zaru. For dessert have the stuffed palacinke, crepes with a whipped cream and other secret recipe stuff that make them so yummy. The view outside is amazing. Make reservations early. Staff is hardworking and service oriented with great and realistic recommendations on what and how much to order Dobar tek or bon Appetite!!More

The location of the restaurant is wonderful with great views but the food wasn't quite up to the same standard. By all means go but keep your choice of meal simple and don't expect top notch food. Service was good and food a bit over...priced for what it was.More

I heard that Vis is a culinary island of Croatia. Sadly my visit to this palace could not confirm this. Food was very average. Octopus was floating in the sauce soup with most of the plate filled with boiled potatoes. Something you would expect in...a ski chalet than a sea side restaurant. It was a very basic filling meal rather than a restaurant level food. Having said that price tag was very much restaurant level. The lady almost ordered me to the table. She then eased up a bit but most of the service was borderline scary. Maybe they find it charming or maybe it’s the end of the season and staff is fed up with tourists but still a bit of effort in service and more importantly food could go a long way. All in all, I won’t come back.More

The grilled lamb was full of fat and almost tasteless. The sides (rice and grilled negetablea) were below average. Nice atmosphere by the water, though.

What a gorgeous location … open-air, on the water with a view of the Komiža harbour. The service is super, and the food is really fresh and delicious. We had the mussels and monkfish brudet (for two but enough for 4). Some of us had...the local specialty, Pogaca - sardines with tomato and onion “pie”. For dessert we had the Creme brûlée, carob cake, and chocolate ice cream cake. Everything was incredibly delicious.More

This restaurant can cope with big numbers. We were a group of 14 and there was another two smaller groups as well as couples there. We were impressed with the service. They provided us with complimentary bread and a local humus appetiser. I had John...Dory with roasted vegetables and they brought three trays of veg and three of chips enough to go around hungry divers. Everyone was really pleased with the quality of their food. It is a bit more pricey but a lovely way to end a holiday.More

The food was great, enjoyed my squid in a red wine sauce. Had some delicious local wine from Vis. Try Vugava its a local grape. They were extremely busy, it's high season in Croatia and the service was O.K. But to be honest Croatian restaurants...don't have the best service in generalMore

This restaurant has a nice terrace and the service was very very good, but food is disappointing part of the story. Main course was too salty and killed all that nice octopus flavor. Portions are not to big and the prices are quite high. We...tried better seafood in Komiža. This is just a tourist trap.More
