We love the ambiance of this venerable eatery. My wife and I had lunch there recently and we had no major complaints. We had sautéed whitefish which was good and smashed potatoes which were not so good. We also had the iconic Win Schulers meatball appetizer which we enjoyed and the Swiss onion soup which had a thick brown gravy... More

Stopped at Winston's Pub and ordered the appetizer platter. About $16.50 gave me more than I could eat potato skins, chicken wings/ drumsticks, meatballs ( a house specialty with good reason) and crisps with Schuler's Bar Cheese spread. Celery and multiple dips were also included. Server Shane was prompt, attentive and helpful. Schuler's Brew , a light lager ,washed down... More

We were in the area and received a recommendation to eat at Schuler's. It was close so we stopped in. What a refreshing atmosphere. The staff invited us in to look around and where we would like to sit. The wood and beams were only the beginning of a great experience. Immediately we wee seated and cheese and crackers was... Service is generally good. Food is decent but a bit over priced for what you receive. It has been around for over a hundred years but you cant help but feel it might be riding on the past experience and nostalgia of more elder patrons.

First time visit Ann D it was planned to be a light lunch. Turned out to be very filling. Meal starts with their famous cheese spread and fantastic breadstixes. My wife had garden salad that was good but ranch dressing is a little sweet and very thick. I had the Schuler salad that was very good and comes with the... More

52 years later still one of the best meals you'll eat. The restaurant takes pride in their offerings and their bread is wonderful... If you have the opportunity - don't miss their Sunday brunch. Not one of the less expensive brunches you've had - but the atmosphere, the staff and the meal are simply wonderful

Great old vintage atmosphere. Food, service, beer selection and deserts were all top notch. Reasonable priced menu with a large selection of dinner and lunch items to choose from. A + A + A +

Good food as usual on the patio. The crackers and Schulers bar cheese is delicious, dinner selections are kinda scant but always good.

I used to come to Shuler's when I was a kid, and had a chance to stop in for lunch on my way from Detroit to New Buffalo. It was exactly as I remembered. The service is impeccable, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food was outstanding. My wife said that her brisket sandwich may be the best... More

For over 100 years, Schuler's Restaurant & Pub has kept it in the family - and beaten the odds. How rare is this achievement? According to Family Business Review more than 30 percent of all family-owned businesses survive into the second generation. Twelve percent will still be viable into the third generation, with three percent of all family businesses operating at the fourth-generation level and beyond. Schuler's, a four-generation, family-owned restaurant in Marshall, Michigan is an institution.

Schuler's attributes its longevity to the foresight of our founder and the succeeding family members who have used their entrepreneurial skills to build a 100-year tradition of hospitality and fine dining.
