I was in town for four days while my mother was in the hospital and desperate for fresh, healthy, delicious food. I am so grateful that I found Sweet Water Cafe. I ate there three days in a row and have to say they are a bright spot in an area with little to offer in the way of healthy... More

My friend who lives in Marquette recommended this place for dinner when I said we were looking for somewhere to have a hamburger. This place specializes in grass fed beef and other organic food selections. Our burgers were scrumptious. I likes the carrot chips with homemade hummus instead of fries or potato chips. I loaded my burger with bacon, sauteed... More

We were visiting Marquette overnight and met up at Sweet Water with friends who live in town, their recommendation. I really enjoyed the menu, a nice mix of traditional breakfast options and quirky, unique ingredient combinations. Seaweed in breakfast potatoes? Delicious and something I will now try at home. The coffee was good and plentiful while we perused our menus.

Thanks for the nice review. If you are serious about the seaweed in breakfast potatoes, try cooking the potatoes with soy sauce and adding a light drizzle of toasted sesame oil when you pull them out of the pan. More

I have eaten at a fair share of restaurants in my lifetime and honestly I have to put this in the bottom 10% of restaurants of I have eaten at. Just because they are serving organic products does not mean their prices have to be outrageous with food was subpar lacking flavour, no creativity, and for a place that makes... More

We at Sweet Water Cafe would like to apologize to your and your family for the sub-par dining experience you had here. We stayed in Marquette unwittingly on a Saturday night during parent's weekend and the University and while an NHL game was playing in town. All of the restaurants in the main downtown were packed. We found this on our IPhone and were very happy we did! We had the whitefish dinner in the piccata and in the herb and citrus.... More

We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night while in town for a wedding. We were seated promptly and were kindly told they were very busy, and it might take a bit for our food. No worries, we ordered our drinks and dinner together. Wow! The food was amazing and we got a slice of pie for dessert! Great... More

Description
Sweet Water Cafe is a natural foods restaurant, cafe, bakery, and bar in beautiful Marquette, Michigan serving good food made from scratch using whole, natural, organic, and local ingredients.

The philosophy of real food extends to everything on our menu. We select and purchase ingredients that are nearest their natural state; fresh, wholesome and full of nutrients. We then use these ingredients to make our menu, including breads, soups, sauces, entrees, dressings, desserts and cookies from our own recipes. No synthetically hydrogenated fats, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives are ever used in our cooking. The Cafe's staff of chefs, bakers, servers, cleaners and service managers take pride in carrying on the tradition of making good food from scratch, using natural, organic and local ingredients as much as possible.

You will find traditional and alternative food and drink. Our recipes and cooking techniques are derived from the diversity of Earth's cultures. Our style of "multicultural cuisine" represents a living art because it borrows from, rather than replicates, traditional ethnic cuisines. It is our mission to provide a broad spectrum of quality, freshly-prepared meals served quickly and professionally in a clean and smoke-free environment.
