We received advice from a local shop owner to try Jean Kay's Pasties, so we did. We got ours to go, and bought the frozen mini pasties and two regular ones (with rutabagas) - 1 cooked and ready to eat the other half-cooked to be cooked the rest of the way later. Yum!! The ready to eat pasty was fantastic!... More

Small owner operated shop that we found on Trip Advisor. I walked in the door and asked about pasties and mispronounced it. You guessed it! The owner was straight faced and corrected me. When my husband came in the owner explained about pasties and recommended one for us to share. It was delish. Loved every bit of it. The ambiance... More

The Pasties at Jean Kay's are the most authentic pasties in town. The crust is the best and the Pasties are delicious!! It is the only place in town that I get my Pasties.

Jean Kay's is the best pasties place in the U.P. Their crust is by far the tastiest of all the pasty shops. Second place would be lawrys in Ishpeming.

Title says it all! Their vegetarian pasties are by far the best in town. Their regular pasties are tasty as well.

Great pasties. Been in business for a long time. My go to place when in Marquette. They have a vegan and rutabaga free, as well as, traditional pasties.

When we checked into our hotel they recommended Jean Kay's for the Pasties; however, they told is they were about to close for the day. So we threw our bags in the room and hurried to get there. The staff welcomed us in spite of the fact that they were getting ready to close. We ordered three different pasties and... More

The current owner actually repurchased this establishment after his family sold it years ago. He wanted to maintain the same quality his family encouraged during their long ownership and felt the new owners weren't up to that standard. I'm sure they are still out there criticizing this business, but don't listen. So expect the best quality ingredients in an original pastie.... More

Our first experience with UP pasties was delightful thanks to the friendly, helpful folks at Jean Kay's. We both had the steak pasties, my wife's with gravy and mine with coleslaw (surprisingly good) paired with local pop. Learned about the history of the dish, its ingredients and had a nice conversation with some new Marquette residents. If you're looking for... More
