We enjoyed delicious broccoli and cheddar soup for lunch and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. The food was excellent but it was the extraordinarily warm welcome we received from the young owners, Joe and Luna that made this lunch a memorable event on our trip to the upper peninsula of Michigan.
This newlywed couple served up the food with big smiles, and made every guest feel like a local.

This family owned business is GREAT!
We walked in a few minutes before they closed - not realizing the time - but they still made us hot pasties, sandwiches and let us sit in the dining area. We visited twice in two days and each time was kind friendly prompt service and great food at a low price. A great Value!

Visiting the Mackinaw Bakery and Coffeehouse was like taking a trip back in time with numerous current influences. The specialty coffees were perfectly prepared, the breakfast sandwiches were hot and flavorful and the pastries and donuts were amazing. My favorite was the peanut butter filled long john, I’m salivating just thinking about it. Lou Ann was the employee who guided us through the selection process with gentle shoves and tons of information. She made us feel valued and appreciated. We’ll be back!!!

WE actually went to place twice. Food freshly made there. There is all kinds of donuts and a nice size.
First day we got breakfast sandwich we had them on bagels. The bagels weren't that great but the sandwich was good. We asked for Salt, Pepper and Ketchup and they gave us packages. They didn't put them on the sandwich.
The second day we forgot the bagels weren't great and ordered a bagel with cream cheese. But we did get the longhorns with cream that just came out freshly made. Got another donut but forgot what it was.
I would try it out for yourself but do expect a line. The first day the staff was wearing mask but the second day not all were wearing them.

I visited about 15/20 minutes after the bakery opens and they had very few items available, I asked about a couple items I’d seen pictures of and was told it would be another 1/2 hour or 1 hour before they were ready. In addition, my face covering wasn’t good enough for them even though it covered my entire lower face from eyes down, the woman working was rude and had serious attitude. That being said, the donuts and bagel I got were very fresh and good. Just don’t go early if you want many choices and make sure you’re in a “traditional“ mask.

Wow! This place was very busy, but the employees were efficient, smiley & friendly, and gave personalized attention to each customer to make sure the order was correct. Wide variety of donuts, delicious breakfast sandwiches, decent coffee, and stellar smoothies!

We’ve visited from Yorkshire, England and I honestly rate this place 10/10. The food is sensational. The bakery goods are to die for and the doughnuts 🍩 are the best doughnuts I’ve ever tasted.
I HIGHLY recommend.

Our tour group (from Louisiana to Michigan) stopped in here for lunch while touring Mackinaw City. It was wonderful! Delicious! Atmosphere wonderful! Fast service! I had chicken salad and the best cinnamon roll.

I have to admit this is probably the best Long John I’ve ever had in my life, it was the cream filled with the chocolate top. It was warm, like it just came out of an oven. They had to go to the back to get it because they were sold out in the front section. I notice a lot of selections were not available and I kept having to go to the back to get certain items, I’m glad they did because it was the best one I’ve ever had.
It was good 25 minute wait, the line was long and very slow.

We stopped in the morning after having stayed the night on the other side of the bridge in St Ignace. This is a busy bakery and you need to stand in line to get your order. That being said, the ladies slinging donuts are fast, friendly, and efficient! We paid $1.75 each for our filled longjohns. One was cream filled, the other custard filled and they were to die for! They definitely know how to make donuts. This is a three part restaurant with tea sales and retail, the bakery portion where you order, an area of seating.

My favorite bakery item is an Apple Fritter & these were some of the worst I've ever had. It was like eating fried bread dough with a tiny bit of glaze. No cinnamon in it @ all & the only apple was on the very edge of one tiny piece.
However, the peanut butter filled Long John with Peanut Butter frosting was quite fantastic, you can get this with Chocolate frosting as well, & the Chocolate Peanut Butter Frappy was wonderful.

We stopped here for a quick snack as the restaurant we wanted to try was closed for some unknown reason. We are glad we stopped. The cinnamon rolls were amazing and very fresh and the gourmet hot chocolate was great. The ladies were very friendly and helpful. They didn't rush you and answered all the questions you had with a smile on their face. We would highly recommend this place.

Amazing and super friendly! The girl at counter was super patient with my daughter and I, as it was our first time and we had no idea what we wanted. There was so much to choose from- pastries, donuts, cookies, all homemade same day. They also had coffee, smoothies, etc. All of the baked goods were great, cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies the best! Definitely stop here!! Very worth it! Even has a cute gift shop attached with jams, syrups, hand cloths, aprons, etc. Super cute!

While visiting Mackinaw City I had a real sweet tooth so I decided to try donuts for breakfast. I went back later and got a couple of cookies as well. They were all very good. The cookies tasted homemade. The prices were very reasonable. Good coffee too.

We were in Mackinaw and happened in this little bakery and I wish we would have found it sooner. The baked goods were amazing and the coffee was great. My wife and I had breakfast sandwiches they were great to and fair prices unlike many other places in Mackinaw City.
