Having been using The Crown for over 30 years and had always found the food good value for money. Typical pub grub but with the 2 for 1 offer, it was a cheap meal out for a family so long as you didn't go over the top with starters, deserts and drinks which were not part of the 2 for... More

Decent room and good breakfast for the price, we paid £43 for twin room Inc breakfast. Ample supplies of tea coffee etc in room, hairdryer, free wifi. Pub meals tasty and also value for money. Very pretty garden. Staff all helpful. On the downside, the plumbing leaves something to be desired but apparently there is to be a refurbished later... More

Popped in on Thursday night with two girl fiends. Used to visit here pretty regular but had a couple of bad meals so left it for quite a while. Emails advertising new menu were tempting so we decided to give it another try. The only saving grace about our visit was the friendliness of the waitress. Table although it has... More

My husband and I called in here for a meal on our way to the NEC to see Olly Murs as we did not fancy the fast food that would have been on offer at the NEC, wished we had ate at the NEC after all! Waiting staff were very friendly and attentive and that was the only good thing... More

Living close to The Crown as a family we have visited on many occasions.... not for a while but as it was within walking distance we thought why not..... I can honestly say the only saving grace was the waiter (Alex) The food..... well.... where to start. We ordered a 20oz mixed grill from the specials board and a feast... More

A 2 for 1 pub restaurant that offers good value and a decent pint of beer. Located close to the holiday Inn express (5 mins walk) the menu is typical UK pub food but well cooked and served by willing staff. Not gourmet but a decent meal.

Lovely beer garden. Good food and good service. 2 for 1 ensures you have a great deal. I had the gammon, chicken and mustard pie served in a melt in mouth pastry. Not too noisy.

My boyfriend and I travelling to visit the final resting place of John Bonham from Led Zeppelin drove past and decided to pull in for dinner and stayed in the hotel. Great food. Our steaks were cooked perfectly rare as requested. Service was very friendly. And reasonably priced.

I come here 2-3 a month, for the past few years. Have never had a bad meal here. Staff always friendly and helpful. Good choice of food on specials board. Never had to wait too long for food, bill always brought to us when asked. Will continue to enjoy food here in the future.

I came for a meal with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. We were greeted straight away and sat down with no issue, even though it was pretty busy. However, we found that the waitress was very abrupt and didn't attempt to make any form of conversation. We both didn't enjoy our meals as we found they were both very... More
