Great sandwiches!!! So good we went twice. Line out the door to the street and yes it is worth the wait. Only thing we'd like is a few more tables and some umbrellas so you can enjoy the food easier.

They have a couple vegetarian options but today I tried the south shore minus ham plus banana peppers and cucumber. It was really good. I love the pesto mayo and the dill havarti cheese. Also has tomato, lettuce, and onion on it. The line was...More
I chose this restaurant due to the positive comments on the pretzel bread. FYI...the bread is hard and not that flavorful. I imagined a typical pretzel roll found in the grocery store. This recipe is more like aunt Annie's in the mall. I did enjoy...More
Place reminded me of a sandwich place on Chincoteague so we stopped in. Place was busy, but wait wasn't bad. Even though I didn't care for the relish, or the $2 more lettuce wrap (expected iceberg got roughage) we would stop there again in a...More
Last week we had sandwiches from here delivered to work for lunch. I can honestly say this was the best sandwich I've ever had. I got the North shore on the pretzel bread. First the bread, sweet/salty pretzel bread with real salt sprinkled on top...More
They have really good, fresh food here. The reason I did not give a 5 star rating is they were out of pretzel bread, blue cheese slaw and blue cheese dressing for sandwiches. They did their best to accommodate though with a blue cheese spread...More
We had lunch at the Village Cheese Shanty because of the high reviews on Trip Advisor. There are many choices of sandwiches which are served on either pita, baguette or pretzel bread. My husband had Log Jam (roast beef, etc.) and I ordered Lake Street...More
If you are in Leland, or within a thirty mile radius for that matter, do yourself a favor and go here. It is a must stop for sandwiches for locals and tourists alike. I always get the Leelanau on pretzel bread. This place rocks!
Best pretzel bread in America. Seriously, I have tried a bunch, and none match up to the Village Cheese Shanty. (Note: all the bad reviews of this place is because they didn't try the pretzel bread!) They are getting popular, so the lines are getting...More
