Good food, good price. Highly recommended the homemade gorditas. Unlike any other gordita you've had elsewhere. They do sometimes run out near the end of the food-service hours. If you are looking for super-spicy Mexican, this is probably not it. Even the spicier entrees tend toward mild. The salsa is also made on site, so it can very in heat... More

El Azteco has been one of my favorite hang outs for many years. Great atmosphere for dinner and drinks with family and friends, or for a date night out. The pink raspberry margarita was yummy.

We only go there for their Topopo salad. Two of us usually share this order and can't even finish this giant messy dish. We really need the third person to help us ;) Everytime when we leave this place, we always say we don't want Topopo anymore! ( we'r too full!) ...But we keep coming back. LoL

I love returning to El Azteco when I come home to visit Michigan. The Lansing location will always be my favorite, although both locations offer affordable margaritas (by the pitcher!) and dependably good food. Cheese dip as an app and enchiladas for dinner (usually Blue Corn or Jocoque) are my go to. This time my companion and I both opted... More

I love Mexican food but this place is on a whole different level. Chips are homemade and the Blue corn/Yellow corn Enchiladas de Jocoque - oh my goodness. Salsa is very good. Food came hot with a generous portion and sides. Try the queso! Muy Bueno!!! Don't leave Lansing without coming here first- I stop every time I'm in the... More

We've been going here for over 40 years. First restaurant our daughter visited (about 2 weeks old - she's now almost 30) Tonight, Heather was another in a long line of great wait staff here. It's the Deluca's pizza of Mexican food.

El Azteco's nachos, botanas, and Dos Equis kept us warm, full, and happy during my undergraduate years at Michigan State, so it had to be my first dinner destination moving back to Michigan this month. The margarita, nachos, and guac were perfect. So happy to be home!

I have been going to El Azteco for years. The Enchiladas de Joque or the Blue Corn Enchiladas are my favorite. Chips - great Salsa - great - nice bite to it - awesome. If you are looking for fine dining go elsewhere, if you are looking for a great, fabulous neighborhood Mexican restaurant look no further - this is... More

Great cold beer, fast and authentic Mexican food. Very generous with the guacamole. Love the nachos and bean burritos. Chips are fresh and tasty. Cheese dip is fantastic and unique. The salsa could be hotter, but has a good flavor. Service is fast and friendly. This place is about the food, not having a shinny pretty floor or décor. This... More
