Went for a late lunch and as usual was not disappointed. The place was packed but service was great. The food and soup was awesome. One of our favorite places to go when visiting.
I always order the soup bar And sandwich. Although the pork chop Blue plate special was tempting. My favorate drink is the draft root beer.
For what you pay for a sandwich here, one would expect more than "Steakum" on a hard roll of a bun not to mention the au jus is about as tasty as toilet water.

The Soup Bar is a staple, but the last few times it has not been the same. Lower quality. The owners of the Downtown Restaurants have cheapened their product.
