Loved the atmosphere and the friendly wait staff. Spoke with Jared who had just gotten off work and he gave us some great advice on what else to do in Grand Rapids. The beers are great with something for everyone. Plan on going back in the summer and will definitely stop by again.

Loved this place. We arrived mid-afternoon and although they had seating, they did not have the wait staff to handle the incoming customers. We asked if we could sit in the bar area and were granted access. The gentleman that waited on us was so knowledgeable of the beer and the brewery's history that it made our visit that much... More

My husband and I love Brewery Vivant. They have a great variety of Belgium beers and sours as well as an eclectic food menu. Our favorite is their burger! They also have a great selection of cheeses and spreads. The service is good and the staff is knowledgeable about the beer and food menu. They also serve some wine and... More

I had friends in town--took them to my fav brewery! They enjoyed the amazing beers & eclectic food choices. Our beer flights were perfect for many tastings. Fav appetizer was beer cheese w/breadstix. We walked right in and got a table, the service was very slow. The wait staff doesn't bring out their own drinks. It was always a runner. We did not order food but it did look very interesting. There were a lot of choices of beer but most were sour. They did have a bourbon barrel that was thick and... More

This place is a repurposed church/mortuary. Plenty of Hoppy Beers- Big Red Coq to smooth and dark stouts-Wizard Burial Ground. I mixed WBG and Tart Side if the Moon...Brilliant!

This converted church serves wonderful eclectic food. I just love these local places with smart menus and drinks. Starting with the appetizers, rarely you see bone marrow and Escargot. I wish the bone marrow was a little bigger with more fatness to it but very well presented. The Goat Pie was a comfortable portion for lunch. Probably small for dinner.... More

If you like Belgian Wit, this is the place to go. We've been here several times and have never been disappointed in the beer or the food. Food has a French flair, the hangar steak and pomme frites are fantastic! Worth the trip if your anywhere near the state of Michigan!
