Went there on a Sunday afternoon after climbing the Sleeping Bear Dunes. It was a super cute local spot. Went with the whole family they all got burgers and sandwiches but after trying my clam chowder they all ended up getting one, seriously that good! Caution they only take cash so make sure to hit up an atm before hand.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. Promptly seated in a booth that was cleared for us. Service was pleasant and friendly. Coffee nice and hot. I had the Western Omelet with sourdough toast. Wife had egg sandwich on an English muffin. All was great. Tavern is where the locals eat. Will return. Great decor and ambiance. Fun place.

Start to finish, just was bad. Not one employee ever even smiled, not one. They don't accept c.c./debit cards. Stated on menu even that Americans have too much credit card debt for the reason, no, you don't do my thinking, and you appear cheap. Debit cards do not cause debt. $26.00 for a hamburger and fish sandwich!, not even a... More

Stopped here for a bite to eat while out color touring. A lot of others had the same idea, they were very busy, however we did not have to wait long for a table. It's a place where locals gather and tourists feel welcome as well. Sports Bar / Restaurant, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We started with a... More

Great little tavern in the heart of Glen Arbor. We ate there on the last weekend of the season on a lovely sunny day and it was packed. Unfortunately that meant loud, approaching 85 dBA (loud enough that we needed to raise our voices to converse across the table) which did detract from our enjoyment. However the mushroom swiss burger... More

We loved this place! Smaller and there was a wait but it was worth it. We give props to the cook! The wait between the time we ordered and got our food wasn't bad at all especially for how busy they were. Tons of beer on tap and had a full bar. We went on a Sunday (early afternoon) and... More

Had dinner here on a chilly fall Friday evening following a color drive. The place was busy (and loud due to a table of 6 loud ladies). But you can't beat the cozy character. The ceiling is covered with old collegiate pennants from across the country. The Art's Burger was delicious. Just a plain burger with lettuce and tomato--a purist's... More

Randomly chose this tavern for lunch while on color tour last week. Had good service, good food and enjoyed the tavern atmosphere. Note-one order of delicious fries served four adults with left overs. We would try it again, next time. Be sure you have cash or check as they take no cards and they refuse to split up table check.

We had a great breakfast here, but have had equally delicious lunch and dinner meals here on previous visits. It's a busy little restaurant with good food at reasonable prices.
