Been to the What Not Inn on Blue Star Highway towards Fennville, from Saugatuck, a couple times. Had a good egg, meat and potatoes breakfast. But, if you are out on a Friday night and desire fish, this is a good place to go. We were there at the beginning of the holiday season and it is nicely decorated for... More

We really enjoy visiting this place for dinner. The food is great! The service excellent! They are very welcoming. It reminds us of the supper club type restaurants you find in northern Wisconsin. The Friday fish fry is yummy as well as their fried chicken and burgers. Don't forget to try the coconut cake, homemade and wonderful! If you're lucky... More

I have been driving between Chicago and northern Michigan for years now, and until recently, never knew about this little gem situated right off I-96. It's tucked behind trees alongside the highway and there's no sign for it at the exit, so you wouldn't know it's there unless you actually take the exit. This place is amazing. There is no... More

We happened into this place with my in-laws after visiting Fennville's local winery. We needed something after sampling quite a few wines. I've driven by the place a number of times, but it never looked that inviting. You will find the dining room decor to be a bit dated inside, but clean. The menu covers the basics, and the food... This older, out of the way Roadhouse is not one that should be passed by! It is a hidden gem offering excellent service and food. It has a varied menu, offering something for anyone - we came back for the lake perch, which is excellent.

I grew up in Michigan and walking into The What Not Inn reminded me of taverns and restaurants that my family used to eat at in northern Michigan in my youth. The restaurant looks bigger inside than out. Wood everywhere with square tables and cafeteria chairs. We were sat immediately. The menu was loaded with a enormous number of options... More

We just happened to find this little place while driving and decided to check it out. Don't let the older look fool you, the burgers were all we had but they were really good and the service was quick and friendly!

Built in 1926, a rustic restaurant with a great old bar. Worth a stop. Our group had the Perch Basket and Liver Dinner. We all thought more seasoning would be an improvement.....but all and all ok. YES! The best Coconut Cake ever.

Food was good. Service was very good. Live music was good. The visual however leaves a first impression of a divey local haunt but the server is great and has a knack for keeping the divey out of your mind. Some new carpet, tables and chairs and a makeover might make this place a bit more attactive. Otherwise, we'd come... More

A passerby suggested it and we were glad we stopped! The breakfast was delicious and the service was wonderful. We ordered an eclectic mash of breakfast orders and the cook did a great job specializing our foods. Interesting location and it looks like Sundays are the day to order Bloody Mary's. We will be returning again for dinner.
