This was a great place for specialty coffee and super baked goods. A super morning spot to start your day. It will be missed. My review shows Nov. 2015, but it was earlier due to they always closed after the season.

I was so disappointed that Trick Dog was not opened this summer 2015. I tell everyone that is going to Frankfort to make sure to visit. Good food, fun art and a lovely large front porch to relax and have a coffee. Please open again. We miss you.

From helping the children pull back the heavy metal fish buoy to ring the bell, to stepping on the fish cement walkway, to going out back and taking our annual photo in the artsy photo frames, I am sad to see this is closed for 2016. Please come back, I miss the swiss cold pressed processed coffee, the stuffed french... More

Trick Dog has become a favorite place for my daughter and me to visit on our annual summer vacations up north. It's a great little coffee shop/cafe/art gallery and the best part is that pets are welcome. We always love going and sitting outside enjoying a great cup of coffee and then picking out something fun to buy that will... More

This is our go to place on the way north. We love the snacks, the art and the atmosphere. I was so sorry to see that it was closed for the 2015 season. Hope they are back next year.

We have been a few times to get coffee on a sunday afternoon each year when we visit Michigan. This cute little shop is a mix of an art gallery and coffee shop. Its fun to browse all the art pieces while you wait for your or sip on your iced lattees. They have a good amount of syrup flavors... More

Check the days of operation, because I think they are only open a few days of the week, maybe Thursday through Sunday. We enjoy their gift shop, and they do serve smoothies, etc. which can be enjoyed on their porch overlooking Betsie Bay and Frankfort.

Every summer I look forward to our trip to visit Trick Dog. I've purchase prints from this neat place and other items in the shop. I was very upset this summer when we showed up close to 4:00 pm. We didn't realize it closed this early but went in and got a cup of coffee. While I was paying, the... More

My favorite coffee shop in the Frankfort area - great coffee, and really neat ambiance - will gladly drive around the bay from Frankfort to grab an espresso drink here and linger in the gallery - whimsical artworks also dot the landscape around the building, which sits atop a hill overlooking the bay and has a nice view across to... This is one of my favorite stops in northern Michigan. Cool stuff inside, but the gallery/cafe exterior is also landscaped with art pieces I like even better than the ones inside. Best place in northern Michigan for porch sitting, latte sipping, and inhaling views of a lake.
