An elegant and romantic ambience to take that special someone. Gourmet American cuisine is on the menu with International flavours. Loved the Salmon with thastes from Norway. Loved the Risotto spinach.

This restaurant closed at least 18 months ago. The owners originally said they were re-working it for a more casual dining experience. But, no movement. Now, the building is empty, and is for sale. A loss to the dining community, but that's the way it is in the world of restaurants.

Sorry to report that Opus One is closed and the building is for sale. A great dining spot for decades in downtown Detroit, the move from elegant to casual dining slowly ate away at Opus One's clientele. Too bad for those of fine taste.

We have been here several times. The staff is excellent and always wanting to tend to all of your needs. The steaks are awsome, the deserts oh my God yummy. Try the milkshake so much booze and great chocolate "cup"

My absolutely favorite place to eat and treat myself in the D. They make it right and the atmosphere is very inviting. I have not had a bad dish yet! No left overs for me! Ever! ha ha

Nice atmosphere and good tasting food. We were there for a special event and had a choice of 3 items. The salmon was good and was topped with a fresh mango salsa. Nice staff, nice experience.

Pricey and flashy--the food is excellent, well presented but often a bit too pricey for the quantity served. Good wine list withperhaps a lack of some of the finer off-shore wines.

We went in for lunch just before they closed for remodeling. It sure still looks good to me. The manager assured me that when they reopened in November there would be no bottlenecks, t-shirts or multiple tv screens. We'll have to see what changes come about. I told him not to replace shrimp Helene on the menu and he said... More

Went to Opus One for lunch and I have to say that everything and I mean everything was superb. The service from the valet parking to the hostess to the "three" (yes I said three) people that waited on us was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is tranquil and with beautiful decor. The place settings and food presentation is exceptional. The... More
