I had wanted to stop here for a long time, as I would see this place when I went to Tigers/Lions games and just never worked it in. This time, I had to pick up tickets for a Chris Rock concert and this was the meeting spot, so it worked out nicely. This is a little hole in the wall... More

The food here was pretty much like any other bar food. The sports memorabilia makes it worth the visit for any Red Wing or hockey fan. Service was just okay. The restaurant was very slow but our server was not very attentive.

Great place for hockey and food. We were with a large group and the service was great and so was the food. Our food came out quickly and our server was very attentive. Everyone enjoyed their food. Portions were huge. I do think they stop serving certain foods after a certain time so if its later in the evening you... More

Good food, good prices and great staff. This place is well worth a look even if its just for a beer! Heaps of red wing memorabilia to see as well.

hockey town on opening day. it was pretty busy, as you can expect. we came after the baseball game. it's dated, but it was still a good place to meet with friends and have a drink or two. maybe it will get freshened up after the new arena opens.

This was my second visit to Hockeytown Cafe. Although it is a beautiful bar with amazing decor, the service both times I visited was horrible. Walked in after a tigers game to a half empty bar. Had to grab my own drinks. Not once spoken to by a waitress. We were surrounded by dirty tables. Keep in mind yes I... More

Had to go to Comerica park to get a specific Tiger item, while there my friend and I decided to have lunch at hockeytown. Walked in about 11:00, place was relatively empty. The hostess sent us up to the second floor (she acted like she didn't want to bother with us, as the 3 of them sat their and chatted),... More

I took my wife to the Fox and thought we would go to the Hockeytown Cafe before the show. At first appearance, it looked nice walking in. The hostess was curt and appeared to us to be overworked and overwhelmed. We were told it would be about 10 minutes but we could go upstairs to be seated right away. We... More

We came in to see a final Detroit Red Wings game at the Joe and planned to go to another restaurant for our family meal before the game. That place is another review. The food was great, atmosphere is incredible, especially for a fan! I would go back in a heartbeat. Staff was accommodating and it was fun to show... More

We went down for lunch with a hockey team and families. The space was plenty large enough BUT they only put one waitress in our section. One the dad's had to help her carry drinks from the first floor to where we were seated. Food was average but to be expected. Good location in downtown by Tigers and Lions stadiums.... More
