This is the third or fourth time we have been to Cliff Bells for dinner, and as always, the food is out of this world and the musicians are amazing! Three out of the four of us ordered the Waygu Strip and it was cooked to perfection. The only draw back on Cliff Bells is the fact that you cannot... More

Cliff Bells has been around forever, just re opened and we finally had a chance to check it out. We entered and the decor is fantastic! Restored to its somewhat original state, with a beautiful large bar. We stood admiring the decor for about seven minutes before anyone said a word to us, bartender came to seat us and off... More

Did not have an opportunity for a meal but stopped in for drinks before a show at the Fox. Very pleasantly surprised at the ambiance and a very good Margarita on the rocks! Looking forward to another visit when we can try the delicious looking meals they were serving!

First off, Cliff Bell's is gorgeous. The building housing Bell's combination jazz club, bar, and restaurant was designed by "Architect of Detroit" Albert Kahn, and the club itself was designed by noted architect Charles Agree. Opening in 1935, and fully restored in 2005, every inch of the interior is glowing mahogany hardwood, leather, and brass. Wall-sized wood panel murals adorn... More

My favorite place to go in Detroit. Amazing house jazz band, food is incredible, and the drinks are something to write home about. When you walk in you feel like you went back into the 40s or 50s with the original bar and ornate walls.

I visited Cliff Bell's in February of 2017 and was instantly transported back in time as my friend and I found a table for two with a nice view of the stage. The house band with piano, sax and bass played moody jazz, the sounds bouncing off the old wood ceilings, making me feel like I had left this modern... More

Cliff Bell's is like an island of music. Walking in the brightest sun of Detroit, crossing Woodward Ave at the Fillmore down Elizabeth Rd...At the corner you see Park Bar, an indicator that Cliff's is right there. We paid $10 cover for a Sunday Jazz Jam Session. You walk in. Its dark, cool and brass. The kids playing were amateur... More

Beautiful bar; the place was closed for many years and amazingly avoided being stripped. It has the look of a place in the 1940s or 50s. Good food... we had a charcuterie plate and appetizers. Interesting drinks. The music was jazz by a local group so admission was free. They also have national acts. Plenty of parking in the immediate... More

We stopped in with group recently for drinks and a little food. It was my first visit, and I loved the decor - dark, lots of gleaming wood, plenty of faded glamor from a bygone era. Service was terrific, drinks were just what they should be, and the food was fine. This was a visit highlight.
